I appreciate the spirit, but I could name 10 games that were more meaningful since 1998. Let's not get carried away. edit: That's not to say they were more entertaining than this one, or that they will even have been viewed as intensely as this one, but in terms of raw NFL value (i.e. how does this game affect the Jets' odds of winning a championship), there is absolutely no way this is the most important one of the last 10 years. It's not even close.
BS don't be fooled by the league that rewards the mediocre to sell PSL'S, Shirts, lamps and other none football related crap. This team has a chance to step up and be a dominate team in this league right now. Dominate teams win SB. All those playoff games after 98 were nothing more than invitations to be a slaughtered at the expense of a team moving on. This game is our chance to step up and dominate in this league right now, win the division get a bye and be a feared team. Lose this game and were just another also ran looking to back into the tournament to get bounced by an eventual champion.
I think I'll watch the game standing on a chair with a rope around my neck. If I get weird looks from everyone else in the restaurant, so be it.
Real late and all but: May I just smoke copious amounts of ganja instead? Thats how I cope with stuff. I really don't feel like dying just yet, the Jets could still win the Super Bowl according to my super computer. Seriously...if a November loss to the Pats takes the fight out of fans...well it'll be yet another sad day for the franchise...and I'm not talking the team...the fans are part of the franchise too...the largest part actually...and what a weight we must be with our rants about the past failures of the team when the franchise is clearly trying to focus on the present and build for the future. I hope the team has more fight than that...I think they do...I think the coaching staff does...but I shouldn't say that too loud on a Jets fan site...I'll get labeled as a crazy person.
...another CT guy...luckily most of the Patsie "Bandwagon fans" don't live down near New Haven...got to go north/east to find the bastards......
Hmmmm....hmmmm....call me a pussy but I look too good and am way too young to kill myself over a football team. If females haven't gotten me to do it so far then I doubt a bunch of men in tights will do the trick. But hey, everyone down for it...enjoy. I do think suicide's the best way to go...on your own terms and etc...Hunter S. style.
WB, Jonnyd, reporting for duty sir! I will follow you into the darkness of hell if the Jets lose Thursday. I will cut off my legs with a steak knife and bleed out on my white, down comforter.
Exactly we can't lose twice to the Pats and feel good about this team no way no how. Win and keep winning, win the division get the first round bye and the home second round game, its all set up for us. Stumble and it's 10 days of hell minimum. Might as well be dead.
