Yep. Long ball can come off this list, as well as the spiral issue (can't count how many people have commented on how nice his spiral is over the past week), and the off field issue.

Not that I put much stock in this list to begin with...

    sir you're mistaken....

the 2nd pass was from his own 34 to the middle of the endzone

the 3rd was from his own 33 to the 15... get it right.

1st pass was a roll out on the run, against Penn State in the Rose Bowl - that's impressive shit. No one embarrasses a Penn State defense very often. Certainly not a 1st year QB with only 16 starts in the Rose bowl above all things... damn... he had 4TDs in that game too.

Day 2 of Jets rookie minicamp. Before we get to Mark Sanchez, let's cover a few other interesting players in camp, namely RB Shonn Greene (third-round pick).

It's difficult to evaluate a running back when there's no live tackling, but Rex Ryan likes what he sees from the former Iowa star - well, most of what he sees, anyway.

"I like the way guys bounce off him," Ryan said. "Unfortunately, some of the passes bounce off him, too."

Greene isn't an accomplished receiver, to say the least. Ryan overheard an exchange between Greene and Sanchez after a dropped pass. Sanchez told Greene he should've put the ball in a better spot. Greene accepted the blame, telling Sanchez, "I just don't catch it very well," according to Ryan.

Well, at least Greene recognizes his shortcomings.

You're probably not going to see Green as a third-down back, but he has the kind of size (5-10, 227) and low center of gravity that could make him an effective short-yardage and goal-line back. (Take note, Fantasy owners.) Again, we're not going to be able to give a full evaluate until the preseason, when he starts getting knocked around.

One of the most interesting players in camp is former Cleveland State basketball player J'Nathan Bullock (6-5, 240), an undrafted free agent trying to make it as a tight end. Everyone is always looking for the next Antonio Gates. Actually, in this case, there's a distant connection to Gates.

Cleveland State hoops coach Gary Waters, the former Rutgers coach, recruited Gates to Kent State in 2001.

Bullock, who averaged 15 ppg last season, started training for the NFL as soon as Cleveland State was eliminated from the NCAA Tournament. "I saw a brighter future here than in basketball," he said.

He admitted that, at times, it can be overwhelming, but he added, "I recognize there's a bigger picture."

He won't find a better opportunity in the NFL, as the Jets are perilously thin at tight end.

Sanchez wasn't as sharp as he was on Day 1. He didn't have any turnovers, but he missed a few open receivers. Here's a breakdown on how he performed in the various segments of practice:

1-on-1s (WR vs. CB): 7-for-13 (two drops). He best throw was a 45-yard TD strike to Huey Whittaker on a flar route.

7-on-7s: 8-for-15 (two drops): He pump-faked a LB and hit TE Robert Myers on a deep seam that went for about 29 yards.

11-on-11: 1-for-3. He was rolling out, throwing on the run, in this segment. He has quick feet and moves well, but he misfired on a couple of short throws.

Afterward, Sanchez called it "a decent day. Not my best day."

Once again, he organized a post-practice study group. This time, he huddled with the offensive line yesterday to discuss new pass-protection schemes. In that sense, Sanchez has a Pennington-like mentality, working with teammates after hours.

After practice, owner Woody Johnson walked over to Sanchez, shook his hands and talked for a couple of minutes with his prized rookie.

Jamaal Westerman (Rutgers), who played defensive end in college, is working at strong-side linebacker ... When former Harvard QB Chris Pizzotti took too long to get a play off at the line, he heard some good-natured razzing from Ryan. "Don't over-think it, Harvard," he told Pizzotti. Later, Ryan cracked, "I was waiting for that opportunity." He referred to Pizzotti as a "curve buster." Funny. Ryan has a terrific sense of humor. Reminds me of Mangini ... Rough morning for WR Marcus Henry, who had a couple of drops ... I'll check back later after the second practice.
