There is an official list of the UDFA and Tryout players that were brought in today on the team website...i would post links but my post count isnt up to par so yea lol but check it out its a total of 33 players
It really is a shame these cock suckers had to ruin the moment. I have watched the youtube clip about 15 times already, it is one of the great moments in Jets history and it is slightly ruined by the ugly over dramatic mug of these two homos.
Glad to hear Marcus Henry's name in the mix..but is he still considered a rookie? Was he only on the ps and that's why?
Rookies and first year players are brought in. Also, if you're named "Little John Flowers," they will also allow you onto the property.
They brought Casey Dick in from Arkansas? Wasn't he terrible? I remember him getting taken out on third downs so they could let McFadden throw a pass or do some trick play. Only a FA..So no biggie.
Allen Patrick was a decent back at Oklahoma. He was the guy who played for Adrian Peterson when he was out hurt in 2006, and he did a really good job. He's also a pretty big guy if i remember.
Cimini was the only one bitching about his arm strength after the draft. Now that it looks like he's seeing first hand that it isn't an issue, he had to find something else to complain about. I bet we see plenty of comments from him if he gets a pass batted down at the LOS. Favre was 6'2" as well. Didn't seem to bother him too much.
Brian Toal is one of the guys trying out today. Hopefully he sticks - great player that couldn't stay healthy.
I'm watching the presser right now on the Jets' official website: Rex Ryan said a few things that I really love about our top two picks... The players broke a huddle early and Shonn Greene got pissed and called them all back. Schottenheimer gave all of the offensive players a playbook and went over the plays in only ONE meeting. Apparently, Sanchez held a player's only meeting last night...and the guys went over the playbook a little more.
Some more from the presser: Ryan was asked about which tryout players impressed him - BC's linebacker Brian Toal, Minnesota's TE Jack Simmons, and Rutgers' OLB Jamal Westerman stood out.
Whoops, I posted this in the wrong thread but my point remains. Love that little piece Mr E posted about Sanchez arranging a players only meeting to go over the playbook, awesome. I know it is only a rookie mini camp and most of these guys will be bagging groceries next week but the kid has Peyton Manning like intangibles and leadership ability.
This is a great presser man. Rex Ryan is basically saying the Jets are going to dominate everyone. "I've never gone into a game I didn't think I'd win...I'll let you know when that happens. I've faced a lot of good teams, but I've ALWAYS thought that I was gonna win." Ryan says he's comfortable with and confident in the current players - this team will be "very successful...period"
what Greene and Sanchez did on the first day of their new job is above and beyond anything as a rookie... those are truly special qualities for a human being to have. Imagine a team that has those kinds of players on both sides of the ball... it makes others better around them... its leadership, its what I've been wanting on this team all this time. To call them back is awesome, thats assertiveness and control. And for Sanchez to immediately take the reigns and study the playbook more with the rest of the rookies is what separates QBs from Field Generals... and there is a difference... goddamn this is exciting.
So Cimini is worried he can not throw the long ball? 1st pass from the 50 to the 3 2nd pass from his own 42 to the middle of the endzone 3rd from his own 35 to the 15 Later he throws from his own 40 across the field to the 20 STFU Rich
wow....my man-crush on sanchez has grown exponentially. no homo i love the way he evades the pass rush or knows when its coming and gets the ball off on time. those were some SICK fuckin throws
