I'm becoming more and more comfortable with Cotchery at 1, Stuckey at 2, Clowney as our burner, and Keller eating everything thrown within 10 yards of him over the middle. It'd help just to have a big play maker to help Sanchez along, but this might work out...
I have more of a problem with people referring to him derisively in that regard. You're right that he's not "just" a slot receiver. There's absolutely nothing wrong with being best suited to the slot. In a ball control offense, his play there is of the utmost importance.
Good to hear. Stuckey has great hands , Runs good routes and can take a hit and keep moving. Doesn't have great speed but he makes up for it with his hands and toughness and 6'0 195 aint to small either. As of now i guess its Cotchery as the #1 receiver ,Stuckey #2 and Clowney as the 3rd wideout.
Henry is still in the mix, no? He was inactive for most games but he should be given a chance. Does anyone know if he's still on the team.
Stuckey showed glimpses early last year. I am just hopeful we get a full season of production out of him this year.
someone told me wrong... then again the source was shitty.... i've been wrong for a long time, good to know - i learned something new.
I honestly don't know. I think he was on the PS last season, but haven't heard anything about him. Rotoworld says "signed to a reserve/future contract" but doesn't specify that it's w/the Jets. He is on the Jets roster on NFL.com, so I assume it was w/the Jets.
regarding henry - he's a 6th round pick... its very difficult for those picks to do well in the NFL because they are usually guys with low skillsets coming out of college and thus are picked in the late rounds... if rounds 5-7 get a team a starter in any capacity, its a pure gem/steal... if they get cut a few years from their rookie year - its business as usual
I agree, Stuckey = a very poor mans Santana Moss with the nagging injuries to boot. Don't fool yourself, Cotch, Stuck, Clown and Keller are ok at best and we need to bring in a veteran for leadership, to help develop the youngsters and to contribute on the field. I see no harm at all in bringing in a guy like Harrison, although he would not offer much in terms of developing others since he is kind of a loaner. Besides, when your depth is actually your starters what happens when someone gets hurt? Thats when you start to see practice squad or def cb's playing WR and we all know how that turns out...
Fair enough but the thread is about a 7th round draft pick and we were also talking about an undrafted arena player. It will be fun seeing how the WR depth plays out this season.
And Clowney. All of our options are late round picks or undrafted FAs. No reason to think Henry could work out.
That's not what it means. The word sic is just the first word in a Latin phrase meaning something along the lines of "in such a manner". There's a wikipedia entry on all this.
