Geno's best series was the 2nd series of the 2nd half (his long TD drive), after Belicheck had a whole half to watch him plus 1/2 time adjustments.
I've heard that MM should have committed more to the run game since it was clicking so well. Like I said after the Bucs game, the Pats would NOT stack the line and make Geno beat them, because that's exactly what Geno would have done. If MM gave up on the pass, then NE would have brought men up to shut down the run, just like the Bucs. Geno may be the first rookie QB playing in his first road game that Belicheck respected and played back on nearly the entire game. To NE's credit, they got CONSTANT pressure on Geno with just their front 4, so it worked.
Is it just me or did Rex seem extremely agitated about that after the game in the PC when asked about his defenses stellar play. Sent from my HTCEVODesign4G using Tapatalk 2
He is his dad's son, this team is no different than any of Buddies teams. Soon we will see Defensive players and coaches calling out the offense.
The patriots stink and they had trouble even defeating the Jets. I think we should worry more about the Dolphins and Bills. If the Patriots didn't have BRady they would be in worse shape than we Jets are right now. Patriots fans are whining pussies
Every fanbase has them. Overall I think most fanbases are really good, but it isn't sports if you can't make fun of other fans.
If the Patriots didn't have Brady -- lmao. If my mom had a penis, she would be my dad. So what? They have Brady, there is nothing that you, me, or anyone else can do about it. Jets had them in this game and gave it away. Time to go beat Buffalo.
Rightfully so. Its all about where the organizations resources (draft picks/money) have been allotted to. Expecting anything different is just being ignorant.
we have no offense because we have not built an offense the team is ass backwards when it comes to building an offense
Well luckily the Jets will have plenty of cap space and draft picks to invest offensively this next off season, hopefully it pays off.
the ball is touching the ground, that is only a catch if he has full control of the ball at that point and does not move his hands at all on the ball. His hand moves, you can clearly see he is holding the ball in a completely different way only a few frames later. That is just about the definition of "not controlling the ball throughout the process of going to the ground. Once it hits the ground and moves even a little in his hands it isn't a catch, it clearly moves in his hands, therefore not a catch.
Hakeem Nicks and Jimmy Graham are both on the market this offseason I believe. However, I think we have been burned enough by giving guy contracts. I wouldn't mind taking a look at Kenny Britt this offseason. He's been hampered by knee problems and could come cheaply if the Titans don't resign him.
Reading this thread it's amazing to me that almost nobody got the main thing that happened Thursday night. Bill Belichik's defense ate a rookie QB alive in the second half after he got to make some adjustments at half time. How many times has that happened in his coaching career? 50? Probably a low number.
i turned 21 the night of this game and was drunk in the bar...but im just reading other peoples drunk rantings now and its funny as hell
um, no. opposing teams adjustments can not be factored in. this is jet football. other teams schemes don't matter the players on the other team don't matter if we lose its because the players suck, the coaches suck or the refs screwed us. or a combinaton of any or all of those reasons. players can't make good plays against us either. it was just another pay where we sucked.
From your lips to Idzik's ears!!!! I swear, if we don't draft 80% offense next year I don't know what I'll do.
