    Well... since the game thread is closed. Let's discus here.

    The fact that we were outgained 123-438 is pathetic. I know it's a meaningless first game, but I expect more than that.

    1st downs from penalties
    0 3
    3rd down efficiency
    3-12 9-16

    I don't get the feeling of a meaningless pre season game. No effort whatsever

    Bryce Petty sucks so let's hope Fitz doesn't get hurt.

    Most glaring for me were the missed tackles. On almost every play it seemed.

    Best play of the game, Maudlin's hit was right on the border.

    lmfao petty is a project we all knew that he also had wrs drop about 3 passes on him

    Fitz sucks also

    Petty was third string before about 2 days ago, he'll be fine, give him time to settle.

    Fitz was 2 out of 3 for 16 yards.......How does he suck when he only threw 3 passess?Lol some of you guys are just ridiculous.I'm not a Fitz fan but to say he sucked is a complete joke

    Wow this game was pathetic....yes it's preseason but Detroit didn't use that as an excuse. Petty has potential that's for sure.

    I'm not saying he sucked in the game I'm saying he sucks and we won't win more then 9 games with him at QB

    There is a reason why he hasn't stayed with a team 33-55 record in his career

    There's also a reason he's been in the league for 10 years and started for 5 teams. He's no Aaron Rodgers, but he's a serviceable starter and our best QB since Brett Favre.

    3rd down defense was especially glaring for me. I know it was mostly backups, but I thought our secondary depth was supposed to be a major strength.

    Petty looked pretty good to me.. I mean granted he should've had Dev Smith & Owusu out there.. besides them we really don't have any good depth WR's.. they dropped some chain moving passes. He didn't get much o-line help.

    Sheldon is having fun out there lol.

    Chris Ivory still runs like a man on fire, we had some solid run blocking early on from the starters.

    David Harris still a liability in pass coverage

    Lorenzo Mauldin was in the backfield, shows me how disruptive he can be.. just gotta finish the play now and get the tackle.

    Leo Williams looked nervous and got pushed around a little. He'll be okay though.

    Not really trippin over the 1st team Run D because we didnt have our 2 best run stoppers lol. Abdullah is good but he would never hit the outside like that if Mo and Sheldon were out there.

    McDougle is suspect.

    Cumberland will forever be suspect.

    Ya a serviceable backup this team is going know where with Ryan Fitzpatrick at QB.

    Probably the only thing I can come away from this game with...considering it's pre-season 1 is MISSED TACKLES! There were multiple missed tackles on just about ever single play and many plays where there were THREE or more. I don't care if it's OTA's missed tackles at this level are unacceptable. The rest will come.

    Idk how anyone can put that much stock into this game. This was the first game a lot of these guys have played together. New coaching staff. Play calling was bland, nothing extravagant. Starting QB was out there for one series. Missing Wilkerson and Richardson on the line. Only a couple days after Geno was punched in the face and then we had to travel to Detroit to play.

    All in all, fun watching Jet football again and I'll wait to hold judgement until I see more of our first team offense
