I just edited my post above to what I meant. But either way, your attempt to twist my words into me saying “it’s anti American to think slavery is bad”, is fucking lame.

I quoted you verbatim! That in no way is anything at all like twisting your words.

If you want to go back and alter what you wrote that's your privilege but it doesn't undo what you wrote and it is in no way twisting your words - you wrote them! Man up and take responsibility. Are we all supposed to read your mind to understand what you actually meant when you wrote something else?

I read what I wrote, i did not say it was anti American to think slavery is bad.I thought it was pretty clear what I meant. That there is much more to the story than even what I thought up to a few years ago. Lmao, are you nuts? Seriously, you really think my view point is that slavery is good? Or do you really just need an argument that bad?

We all read what you wrote. If you're now going to claim that you meant something else, the onus is on you to explain it. How could anyone understand your viewpoint when you write things you then say you don't mean?

Again, that is not what I said. “The current anti- american curriculum “, does not equate to “it’s anti-American to think slavery is bad”. Are you really this bored? You are twisting my words, and for the context you are attempting to twist them to, you can go fuck off. I’m done with you.

They are your words - own them or explain them if you meant something other than what you wrote.

It's the far right who are forcing this fake narrative because they can't grasp why REAL history is taught in schools instead of this watered down nonsense to preserve white people's egos. Anybody who thinks one black dude owning slaves in SC erases the centuries of oppression and discrimination needs a wake up call.

"Woke" really just means being aware of racism, but the right has turned it into a complete straw man attacking only ridiculously exaggerated positions and throwing the baby out with the bath water. Also people aren't banning guns, they just want better regulations to help keep them out of the hands of the mentally ill or unstable. We regulate driving more than guns in this country and that's sad but alas republican politicians are in bed with the NRA and gun corporations.

Fundamentalism is taking holy texts as absolute literal truth and trying to force others to abide by them. If you're comparing gay pride or trans rights to religious fundamentalism, you completely missed the boat. In 2023 we shouldn't have to still fight for certain groups of people to be treated as equals. It's ridiculous and the right fights it every step of the way. The trans panic going on right now is exactly the same as the gay panic of the 80s when HIV became a thing. You heard all these same identical arguments based on hate and nothing more.

Drag queen shows are in schools? Sorry, but people aren't being sexualized in schools, this is the faux outrage nonsense I was talking about. They used to say the same thing about sex education (many still do) because they hide their children from reality because they live in complete terror. Then they wonder why the bible belt leads the country in teen pregnancy.

Do you honestly believe that parents should not be allowed to raise their kids as they see fit? A religious person would argue to the death for this parental right, despite how objectively harmful harsh indoctrination of religion is, yet they think drag shows that parents willingly take their children to are the end of the world, but when several thousand kids are systematically PHYSICALLY SEXUALLY abused in churches or gunned down in schools, that's just a "natural consequence of freedom."

    The right has banned:

    - Books they don't personally like including math books
    - Bodily autonomy
    - Mere mention of being gay in a school
    - Healthcare for transgender people based on religious privilege (and that's HEALTHCARE as a whole, not just for transgender surgeries although that has been banned too in many places)

    They are trying to ban:

    - Porn
    - Birth control
    - Rainbow shirts being sold in stores
    - Trans rights
    - Gay marriage (again)
    - Freedom FROM religion
    - CRT (a college curriculum)

What has the left banned or is trying to ban?

I've never heard a single person say that slavery in America was the only slavery or that only white people owned slaves. You are mixing that up with the anti anti-racist people who make ridiculous excuses for slavery like, "everybody did it," or "It wasn't just black people" as if that makes a difference. Slavery is wrong regardless of who it happens to and America was one of the last western countries to abolish slavery despite being "founded on freedom."

Also, if you want to address firearms, make it like driving and force people to have liability insurance. Guarantee people will think more about storing weapons securely and safety if they can be held liable and have their premiums go through the roof if an accident happens. Sadly, people today value their own wallet more than the lives of others.

Apparently you need to read up on the history of slavery , even in this country… and get back When you do that. Making comments about “white peoples egos”, shows you don’t know enough about it discuss any further, and basically proves why I made the comment I did in the first place. There wasn’t “one “ black slave owner is sc. there were many. And not just in sc.

“woke”, may have me at something legitimate at first, but is has evolved into a forceful washing of facts , to perpetuate accepted anti white racism, mostly perpetrated by other whites from the far left.

the far left is banning any speech or ideology that differs from theirs , through social demonization, cancellation and doxing.

Edit… you edited you post, and took away the white ego part. Also added this…

“I've never heard a single person say that slavery in America was the only slavery or that only white people owned slaves. You are mixing that up with the anti anti-racist people who make ridiculous excuses for slavery like, "everybody did it," or "It wasn't just black people" as if that makes a difference. Slavery is wrong regardless of who it happens to and America was one of the last western countries to abolish slaverydespite being "founded on freedom."”

That I agree with, except for the part where you said it’s ridiculous to say everyone did it. That’s the whole point. But among the youth today, there is rhetoric equating to “evil whiteness” and how it’s pillaged the planet. Don’t believe me, peruse social media and YouTube etc, and you’ll see it. The Irish are rarely mentioned, and the conversation gets reduced to “indentured servants”, when that’s not completely factual . And it predates the African slave trade in this country. I’m not going to argue that slavery still has lasting effects on those that’s still are left behind in this country. But that needs to be taken up with the leaders who promise things during elections, and do nothing.

As far as guns… you won’t find me ever saying I have a problem with stricter laws. The only thing I’ve said , is that it’s not the only problem, and that maybe they should start watching what pills they are feeding kids these days, and start doing a better job with that too.

As far as the kids and transgender… maybe you haven’t seen some of the things going on. But if it’s not, why would target have to be forced to remove or move items like onsies for baby’s , and kids greeting cards saying congrats on coming out. If there wasn’t a children’s market for it, that stuff never would have made it to the shelves. If an adult wants a tuck friendly bathing suit, by all means go for it. And adult can live as they please, and should not be attacked for it. But it doesn’t belong in the kids section

hatever you think, you should do your own research before just spouting off about things. Even if you’re fine with it or it might not be as widespread as you think people believe it is, it is happening. Took me 5 minutes to pull these up.

I’m personally fine with books that discuss kinks and fetishes being taken out of K-12 schools as well. Maybe you disagree and think they should be left in there for middle schoolers in which case I think you’re a gross pervert.

The whole trans “health care” for minors is merely cosmetic plastic surgeries and wildly untested drugs in terms of long term effects that are merely experimental at this particular point. That thing might severely backfire on Democrats when you have an entire generation of “trans” people that end up with long term fucked up health problems because they took puberty blockers.

I don't even know how to unpack this man.

I am venturing to guess that our founders as imperfect as they were wouldn't want the most dangerous individuals in our country to have nearly unfettered access to mass killing machines. Jefferson also thought the Constitution should be amended every 20 years and "repaired" with each generation. Look at the new Florida law that I believe goes in to effect on July 1..... holy shit. Don't think Madison would have signed off on that one

2nd point... I am strictly talking about America, plenty of other nations had genocide and slavery but I am strictly talking about the United States. I'm not sure that teaching our children that people like Washington and Patrick Henry owned slaves is "anti American" it's reality. They should also be taught that Washington's views on the subject changed as he grew older. I don't know about you but I think we're about the same age but our parents were in school at time when segregation was real. Our parents and probably even some posters here were alive for the Civil Rights Movement. Do you seriously believe teaching kids about what happened during their grandparents generation is anti American or am I misunderstanding you ?

Those things should be taught. But I don’t remember hearing about the Irish is school. They’re history that predates the African slave trade here, is commonly reduced to “indentured servants “. I don’t remember hearing that there were over 150 black slave owners in SC alone, and that many across the south joined the confederacy to defend slavery. No, for as far back as I can remember, it was evil whites sailed the ocean and kidnapped slaves… that’s it, that’s all that happened. And if it weren’t reduced that , you wouldn’t have so many far left college kids tossing bricks and burning bottles taking about what whites have done throughout history. No one is reducing the facts. Every one knows the lasting effects that came after slavery in this country. But to me, it’s disturbing to hear what comes out of the mouths of the kids exiting liberal colleges these days, and a lot of it equates to accepted racism toward the “oppressor”. As far as anti American, the same ones slinging the anti- white racism, are the ones who will also say.. America was never great.
As far as firearms, again, I’ve never been against stronger laws that will help keep them out of the wrong hands. But we’re consistently coming back to this because of school shootings…. Done by young people with no priors. So even with more laws, it’s going to be tough . So why not also focus on the why? Why not start looking into what types of psychotrops these kids are on, and what the commonalities are with that? I’ve seen what that shit can do to people. There are more and more kids these days with split families, no direction from home. Schools that only have time for those that fall in line.

You've proven many times that you love to rant in vast unsupported generalities that do not hold up to examination; why not fill in with some actual facts for a change? Which are these "liberal colleges," what classes are influencing the students so unrealistically and exactly what is coming out of the mouths of "kids" these days? Do you believe the average college student even takes a class in American history after high school? Exactly what has you so disturbed?
