we got their second round pick also!!!!!! ALl we did was move down 20 spots!!!!!!! AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
I like the move. Theoretically we could package our two late 2nd rounders and get back in towards the very end of the first round if we wanted. He'll be an excellent compliment to Washington.
Jones is 28 by the way, he will turn 29 in August, he has alot of mileage left in his legs. I LOVE Jones and he's a guy I wanted all along, I mentioned it last season that if they went w/ benson i'd love to get Jones.
Wait. Tannenbaum and Mangini have no plan. Let's start the 1,700th thread about that. Great trade. Super Bowl RB for swapping a 2nd. Eat that AJ Smith!
Great job by Tangini. So much for those idiots that were stating how we're doing nothing. Its obvious this regime is just going to sit back and make smart moves, not overpay people that have no business getting the guaranteed money theyre getting.
We won't...I have a feeling we are going to see a few new future linemen in this draft OG/RT (fairly high up).
only downside of this trade would be Mangini having to deal with Drew Rosenhaus now....that guy is a tough fuck!
Well this takes everyone off the ledge.. and to cheer up everyone a little more, Adam Schein on NFL radio just said he expects Columbo to sign with the Jets. Nothing official but..
The bears must have been eager to get rid of this guy because how the hell did we end up getting a second round pick back. They basically traded in their starting runnung back to be able to have a higher second round pick.
This is a fantastic deal. Thomas Jones is a strong hard runningback. The fact that we only moved down a few spots and got a player of his talent speaks volume of the new regime hard at work..Kudos to the FO....
I know he was a project in Dallas who eventually started for Fabini (who was terrible for them). Did they let him go because of skill or price?
