i still don't think we need to move on from jones. i said in another thread and i will say again that with the way he works out he should be able to give us at least a part of next season at a high level. i say start of with jones as our workhorse again and as he wears down throughout the season slowly give greene and washington a larger role with fresh legs down the stretch.
Try 3. He got nipped in PS (who cares, it's PS, but still), at the beginning of the season and in the POs. The injury earlier in the season actually kept him off the field which kept him fresh for when it mattered most, but he ended up getting injured again. I'm not gonna call him injury prone because he runs hard, but he (just like Marion Barber) needs to watch out because he won't last very long in this league.
Did you not see him on the sidelines grimmacing in pain every time he tried to jump or jog? the dude was in major pain with a broken rib. A physical position with a broken rib shouldn't be fucked with
TO ANSWER YOU --yes I saw him on the sidelines uncomfortable---BUT I never heard it was a broken rib or ribs,,did any of you? As I said if he had a legit injury and it comes out this week that he had something such as you say a broken rib or bruised ribs ,I said I would give him a pass. BUT If it comes out this week that IT WAS NOT a major injury or something that happened before this game then I would "have less love for him" . Now can you expound on the broken rib? I still did not hear that today--has anyone else ? ps I rember Freeman Mcneil playing thru many injuries--the guy was a warrior---alla C Mart
I think most people are thinking that Greene was injured on that play that they kept showing (along the sidelines) on TV. That was not the play. He was injured on the play right before that... I even remembering mentioning it to my wife and she said, "How did you know that?" It was because he was slow getting up on the play and then they showed him bending over as he tried to walk it off. He was in for the very next play and that was the one on the sidelines which shows no injury. In fact, on that play you will notice he did not throw his pads against the tackler as he usually does... that's because he as grimacing in pain. The last shot of him on the field is him doubling over as he's walking off, which was after the 2nd play, not the initial injury play. I would be surprised if Greene doies not have a cracked rib or torn cartilige in the rib area.
