I do think, however, that his performance last season can be largely attributed to the aquisitions of Brett Favre, Tony Richardson, and the upgrading of the offensive line. TJ knows that his light is fading and that this is his last shot at the big bucks coming off of last year. He knows his career is now on the decline which is why the contract dispute has escalated to the level it has. History has shown that that RB's have one of the shortest career lifespans in the league and typically start their decline right around 30. You are going to have a VERY difficult time proving otherwise, statistically speaking. Why? How would TJ benefit Sanchez? Do you feel he is more of a threat to defenses? Please explain how TJ in the backfield is any more of a threat than Leon/Shonn? A RB does not have the effect on a defense like say, a burner WR or a gunslinger QB does.
