I'm at #3. I'm a that point with all of the sports I watch and have no control over. After spending many years at 1 and 2,going to 2 afccgs and then sucking for 2 years have kind of jaded me. 30 years of torturing myself was enough. I had even promised myself I was going to leave the house today and do something with my wife instead of making football a ritual, but it's too fuking cold out side so I guess i'll be watching again. Strangely,no matter how I try to get away for some reason or another I can't.
Saddest post ever, Cman! Haha. The reason: the longer you are a Jets fan, the more you turn into a SOJF. It can't be helped.
I'm definitely at #1. I always look forward to football. There are so few games in a Jets season, I get pumped for all of them.
Today I'm going to be grilling some baby loin lamb chops from New Zealand liberally slathered with extra virgin olive oil, fresh rosemary, freshly cracked sea salt and black pepper, so all-in-all I'm pretty relaxed. _
I take my good words back. I hate you at the moment. Just kidding. Enjoy your day. I hope Jets can deliver a good game today.
Well, all of us great cooks has to have something to wet the whistle while we create our dishes. I just finished an 18hr smoke of some ham hocks for my collard greens. Used Hickory and those hocks meat falling off the bone. Got the Brisket and Chuck Roast smoked overnight Fri into Sat. Going into next week, too cold to cook out here so looks like the Turkey will be fried or traditional. I haven't decided yet. Wifey picked up some Crown Royal for my bday so over the next month or so, I'm gonna have to pretend its not in the cabinet. Wish me luck with that one! Today, I'm turning on the Jets/Ravens and cleaning Collard Greens with a side of Maker's Mark 46. Call it "Black Sunday".
I clicked dreading it as I expected us to lose but actually I hardly care at this point - the offense is so putrid that its clear we aren't doing anything this season so no point really thinking too much about it - I expect us to lose most of our games from here on and if we win its a nice surprise - we need to draft/buy some WRs and get the best available veteran QB in free agency - this season is done
