I think his rep has improved, but the money and the location of the new practice facility are big reasons too. I've learned that with TC and practice being in Hofstra, and the commute most of these guys made and housing in NY costs a lot more than it does anywhere else in the country did not help FA signings in the past. Most guys don't care where they go to play, but care about the surroundings of the new job. Since the move to NJ, the commute is easy and the housing cost is lower. It makes a huge difference. I am not saying that is a reason over Mangini, but its a factor in the players decision and even when the Mangini era is over it is going to help the franchise every year. It was a great move by the Jets to do so.
