Barcs Probably I am not expressing myself good enough. If a team makes 7 trips to inside 25 and only scores 19 points, this falls on the HC. I am not avoiding any question. I am just saying the same thing over and over. The last 4 years, this team has been terrible in the offense and I think Rex being a defensive minded coach and ignoring the offense is a big problem. And for that, I am tired of Rex and his inept offenses.
For what it's worth I'm with you, Rex Ryan is the head coach of the Jets and if his players (let's not pretend Idzik doesn't talk to Rex about personel) aren't executing that's on him. Why does he get a pass when other coaches around the league don't? If the players aren't executing than it's Rex's job to make sure they execute. We can't just wipe our hands clean and say oh well, Winters missed his assignment and Geno got crushed but Rex doesn't have to answer why that happened. Maybe something needs to be done in practice or players need to be held accountable for fuck ups. If I'm a CEO and my companies earnings drop while I am in charge of the company despite my thinking that I'm doing everything right and as much as it might be the people under me fucking up as the head honcho that falls on me and I need to change things to make sure the company starts earning again.
Like the trick plays. Lots of bitching about MM and the trick plays. Rex could easily turn his head 90 degrees on the sideline and tell Marty to cut out the cutesy trick plays. Problem solved.
Rex has had 3 OCs and all 3 have called an inordinate amount of trick plays. The only constant is Rex.
Let's be honest.... Sporano really really sucked. I still am no Schotty fan but he seems to be doing ok.
Because rex is asking for them or he let's them run wild and they don't have anyone to reign them in?
Forive me, but how does one year of bad play equate to Millner being a bust? And please do not my question again.
Why does this seem like the most likely scenario? There just doesn't seem to be any accountability. It's great Rex goes out in public and in font of the media and says this is on me but what is he doing behind closed doors to fix these issues?
Rex wasn't really happy with the win against the Raiders and that had nothing to do with how the defense played. He wasn't happy about the penalties and the missed opportunities in the red zone. Whether Rex over-identified with the defense early on or not it's pretty clear that he knows he's responsible for all aspects of the team's play at this point. What did he say after the Raider's game? "That should have been a beat down."
IMHO, Jet fans probably consume the highest percentage of antidepressant medications among all football fans--maybe among all sports fans
If this "young team" is a product of Idzik then he is partially to blame why we losing. What bothers me is all the Board talks about is rebuilding. As far as I am concerned Geno has had 19 games to learn something. MM is is being stupid not running the ball. Are these games we play "practice while we rebuild". FIND A WAY TO WIN EACH GAME. That's why coaches and players are paid!!!!!!!!
Rex is the culprit if these plays or at least that's what I think......mm didn't run all these types of plays in Philly or at least I don't think he did
My mistake I was interpreting "dropping balls left and right" as dropping passes not the fumbles after catching them which is worse anyway. I think I better get some sleep before making any more foolish posts.
