This team looks totally unprepared at the start of every game. And that is on the coach. All these "silver linings" about jets 2nd half comebacks and Wilson looking better in 2nd half miss the point--The other team is mostly in a prevent defense and is letting Wilson pass the ball in front of the DBs. Let's face it--the Falcons are not good and they owned the jets all day. Can anyone say 2-15?
When you give up 20 points at halftime it does not look like a good defensive effort at all. But when an offense goes 3 and out that also doesn't help a defense. But the defense did show me something, what about the fumbles they generated? As to Zack Wilson, I do not see too many receivers getting open for him, do you? Zack is a gunslinger who needs to be a bit more patient at times. I think given the right circumstances, better protection, and receivers, he could be very deadly. I remember Bill Parcells once said about an aggressive throwing rooky QB (Drew Bledsoe), you want him to learn to protect the football and not make stupid decisions, but you don't want to stunt his development by not allowing him to make some plays. Welcome to the growing pains of Zack Wilson who might end up being the next Favre.
The early results of Saleh are making Gase look competent. That’s scary….Just when you get thought this team couldn’t go anywhere but up from last year.
Probably all the yards thrown and TD's help though. There shouldn't be a Jets fan alive that wouldn't have loved Ryan as a Jet for his entire career, he may even have been better than Kenny
The announcer said during the London game that Saleh has brought the "bend but dont break defense" to the Jets? is that true? Did the 49ers run a defense like that under Saleh or not. Didn't follow them closely enough
It’s way too early to be shell shocked. However, throwing a lot of INTs early can certainly temper your aggression. Boring would be completing the easy ones.
Those receiver routes look retarded. Either they are poorly drawn up or the receivers are running them wrong. Also... we should have been running heavy against the Falcons. Our first td drive had zero passes... all runs. Granted... it was off a long ko return from Coleman... but still... it was working.
Gruden was never a huge fan of Zach Wilson coming out, but now that TGG has run Saleh outta town maybe things will improve under Big Jon? I'm surprised the Johnson Twins gave him a 6yr deal this soon after the Raiders mess. Go jets!!! (Q: is this what u fuckers want???????????)
Literally what are you talking about? He’s not that good anymore. He did play well against the Jets. Has nothing to do with his overall career
No 1-16 The CS will Bust if not hit by a Meteor of Instant Improvement Then GM will have to replace them like Browns with Kitchens
This is where experience comes in, as he settles down and sees these plays develop more often, he will hit Davis next time for a TD. This is also where Cavanaugh who I can’t stand, might be telling him go for the safe throw, and Lafleur will tell him during review of play we had the TD. However when I see these routes, it’s all long downfield pass plays, there is nothing mid range.
I’m jealous of your avi. I’m mad I didn’t think of it first. JD is probably my favorite Jet right now, his QB choice not withstanding of course.
