It is completely inexcusable for this team to have not shown up for the first half of this game. This was the typical "Same-ol-Jets" loss coming off a surprise win that we have seen for the past 20 years. Saleh had a chance to do something to clearly separate himself from the Gases and the Bowles' and all the garbage associated with them for the better part of a half-of-decade. Instead, he jumped right into their cesspool. I see absolutely nothing special about this head coach that makes me think he will add anything but further misery into this franchise.
Agreed. His defense gave up over 450 yards. Couldn't make the crucial 4th quarter stop. Zach will be killed for his poor play and rightfully so but I put this loss more on defense than him to be honest.
Saleh sucks, Wilson sucks, OL sucks, the OC sucks, the owners sucks, the defense sucks, did I forget anything?
Yeah you're right Jets never follow up big emotional wins. They just looked out of sorts today like no one wanted to be in London. It sucks
I wonder if any other franchises consistently have a problem showing up with no energy in the first halves. It's like Rex cursed us with this wonderful charm since the Steelers AFC Championship game loss when we were zombie walking through the first half. It's been a decade of ghosting the first half across four different head coaches and three general managers. It's absolutely wild.
This and giving up plays over the middle have plagued this team for years. Different coaches, different players, different schemes and yet we can never defend the middle of the field and always give up the big 3rd down play.
It’s been happening for the better part of the last decade …. What’s the solution? When was the last time the JETS drafted a stud EDGE that actually panned out? 21 years ago. That may be the solution ….
Whatever the distance is for the opponent to need on 3rd down they always get the first down, if not by talent by the opponent, it is lost defense or the every week penalty by the Jets.
All of these posts could just go in the after-match game comments thread, the board is choking underneath all the doom and gloom.
Some credit should be given to Matt Ryan, Pitts and the Falcons. They made plays into some very small windows. While the Jets never found an answer to the Atlanta offense they should be given credit for not giving up and playing all 60 minutes. If this was a Gase team we would have lost by 30. Now please feel free to go back to burning down the building and everyone involved as that of course is what we do as Jet fans after a loss.
Oh yes, the “Moral Victory”. Jets hold the record for Moral Victories by a Franchise. You can look it up
Saleh is not the problem-- The team is performing above it's level of talent and it's not even close. The culture and locker room health is at an all time high. The development of the young guys is off to a good start, especially on D. What's wrong: 1. LaFleur is green and it's showing on his side of the ball 2. The Oline is inconsistent because of the combo I like to call McRotten 3. Zach Wilson is not ready to play against NFL talent and is a turnover machine--he will either mature or be a bust 4. Critical injuries--losing Lawson, Joyner Davis took away wins for sure 5. Brand new systems on both sides of the ball 6. Wr's on paper look good, but they aren't exactly helping the case
Sorry but I disagree... There is no excuse for the way this team has played, esp. in the 1st half. The D had no answer for Ryan and #8who made some great catches...
