You all need to slow down with all this give the draft away for Bush talk!!!! Winning franchises don't become winning franchises by giving the draft AWAY... in fact if we are smart, and suspect we are, we will do the exact opposite of what the fans are clamoring for. We will trade out of the top 5, to the tune of being over-compensated by some other team that doesn't have as many needs as us... they will get a shot at Leinart or Young or Davis, whatever... we will fill out our roster according to the long-term plan put in place by our new front office and hopefully in 2 years we will be looking at a re-built team that can string together season after season of playoff/championship football. Bush will not give us that... we have about 6-8 holes to fill that are virtually immediate needs. Deciding not to address those needs would be irresponsible and would essentially lead to more whining and moaning from the Jets faithful down the road. Bush is great. But an individual player should never be put before the team. I hope Mangini and Tannenbaum rob another team blind tomorrow and get the players that they want/need to make us a competitive TEAM, rather than giving us 10 years of highlight reels and "L's" like Detroit had with Barry Sanders.
I agree. If were gonna move up it better be for Bush. Right now its Christmas eve for Jets fans tommorow is Christmas day and Tanny is Santa. Im so pumped on this draft I really hope we make all great picks and do what we need to do.
