Is that right about tackling down at the knees, I didn't know that tbh.

I did see our most hated CB Stephens do a good foot hold in the Buccs game, bringing his man down, kind of reminiscent of rugby (the reason I mentioned about wrapping up a player between knees and ankle)

When you are sucking the "haze" from the bottom of the barrel of COURSE the only way is up. Mark my words, though, this team will start digging down THROUGH the bottom of the barrel before this season is done.

No arguments here but the coaching has also been terrible.
Saleh was a bad HC. We were undisciplined and unprepared but at least the defense could compete. Somehow the team is regressing and that's the scary part

That was the play of the game to me. Just god awful.

If there was any true effort by Adams there I just couldn't detect it.

    Agreed

Sauce takes on the block and turns the RB inside where 3 or 4 guys were there and no one touches the RB

    Just brutal effort

I literally turned to my wife, as she is yelling at their lazy asses, and said, "Must have thought he was back on the playground or something." I don't even think he took a step towards the RB. THAT should ensure his ass is on the pine for the next 4 GAMES. I would suspend him internally.

Simpson's middle school fatboy antic should have sent him to the bench of shame for a while regardless of who was available to fill in. Every yard given up while he roasted would have been on him, not the guy filling in. If you're not going to win the game at least win the war against stupidity.

Trying to look at the positives at this point - AG is fighting an un-winnable war right now with most of the roster holdovers from the previous regimes failures. The exasperated/shell shocked look on his face and demeanor speaks volumes with what he has to work with. I like what I have seen from Mougie's first 2 picks. Not impressed with his FA signing's. Field's displays Jeckyl/Hyde tendencies which is about what I expected. That's all I got right now...

How come the thread on Hymie Elhai’s, Woodys top guy, sexual harassment & wrongful termination lawsuit got locked?

That’s big news for Jets fans! It could bring this thing down

I agree that it may take Glenn the 2025 season (it shouldn't, but it will) to ascertain which of Douglas holdovers are not quality NFL players. Talking about the Allen Lazards, Tony Adams, Michael Carters, Michael Clemons, etc.
As long as Glenn keeps playing guys like this, I don't see them winning more than 2 games. Hopefully after this season, he will get rid of some the Douglas losers. And maybe he and Wilks will switch to a 3-4 defense because Sherwood, McDonald and other are too small for a 4-3. I would have a lot more confidence in the jets new GM except for the Stephens signing--that was a waste of money unseen since Mike MacCagnan signed Trumaine Johnson , CJ Mosely, etc.
Glenn also has a few brainless moments like putting a slow plodder like RB Allen back to return kicks (WTH?). And then he gets hurt and is out for the year. Even if that was Banjo's decision, Glenn as head coach should have overruled.
Another long year, and thx to Douglas we have no 3rd rounder next year. Truly amazing.

Don’t get me wrong, firing Hymie Whoever, president of the entire fucking team, would be great, but it’s not a “force Woody to sell the team” kinda moment.

I’m not much for conspiracy theories but I suspect that, as long as the team continues to print money, the other owners (especially in the AFCE) would be thrilled to have a guaranteed W on the schedule every season.

Actually we saw it work in Washington just a couple years ago.

Sexual misconduct brought Dan Snyder down. And it could with Woody Johnson

I think Woodrow would need to be on Epstein's list for that....

Far as I could tell, the allegations aren’t against Woody himself. He’d likely survive the scandal if it proves to be true.

I honestly don’t think we have seen enough to evenly remotely assess Glenn yet.

Talent wise on the defensive side of the ball is the worst it has been in a decade.
Our best LB is Quincy for Christ sake, and he is out.
The loss of DJ Reed cannot be overstated.
Our safeties suck, and our long term backup is starting in Miami.

Glenn this year has been given a defense full of stupid players with mediocre talent at best.
    You can’t coach stupid.

As I am typing this , I see we just our returner who fumbled last week. Good riddance.
