Two daughters, 29 & 31, born and raised in NH that have no interest in sports. Grandpa is working on the grandson though.
Two boys, 7 and 5. They both like the Jets. Living in New England makes it tough, but they're going into it with eyes wide open. Last season, the oldest said to me, "you know, maybe you would have more fun if you rooted for a team that was better at football. The Jets don't seem to be very good at football." Astute kid.
I hope my kids will stay Jet fans, this stuff isn't just about wins and losses. It's about bonding and spending quality time w/ family/friends. I will never force them to like the Jets but I think they have been a little brainwashed since birth so it will be hard to overcome
My baby is almost three and he has been decked out in Jets gear from day one. He really doesn't have too much of a choice when it comes to the Jets.. He can pick whoever for basketball/baseball/hockey.. My old man is a die hard Jet fan and his old man was a die hard Jet fan.. Green and White runs deep over here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
All three of my kids are Jets fans. Two daughters ages 17 and 7 and a son age 6. My daughters aren't obsessive in their fandom so the team shouldn't cause them too much pain. As for my son, I still have hope for him. Every time the Jets lose he looks at me and says, "Boy Dad, the Jets really stink don't they."
