They don't have a head-to-head tie-breaker on us, nor do the Titans. I was talking about the teams who beat us earlier and we thought those direct tie-breakers were going to cost us. It will come down to AFC record if we tie either the Bengals or Titans because we didn't play them.
you know whats interesting. the broncos surge has actually helped the jets. raiders are fluttering...SD on the rise. so I'm actually a big Tebow fan from here on out. If SD competes for a WC and we have the same record we win the tiebreak yes? jets now control their own destiny. took a perfect storm but it's happened. if the jets dont make the playoffs they have nothing to point to but their reflection in the mirror.
SD has 7 losses. If we end up 9-7, someone else would likely beat us out. SD looks to be mostly a non-factor, barring everything falling absolutely perfectly for them. That said, I guess we'd have the tiebreaker vs. them if it came to head-to-head.
Trust me.. I'm just paying it forward till the day when we're in the Playoffs and the Chefs are watching on TV.
San Diego plays Oakland in the last week, so the only way I can see them helping is if we drop into a 10-6 tie with Oakland and we need San Diego to beat them. Falling to 9-7 will almost be impossible to make it since it requires Cincy losing once and the Titans twice in addition to Oak.
