i knew you would be here sooner than later... anytime the sperms name comes up its like you get paged or something. we are, well at least i am having fun with you. you were always such an adamant supporter of the sperm and still continue to be. i think you might have a thing for him.
Obviously this was bumped to attarct my attention, so why not give the people what they want?:grin: I supported Herm b/c he did a good job here, was he great? No but he was talked about like he was Rich Kotite and he made the team better than when he took over.
haha good stuff, i will give him credit he was better than kotite, and as much as i absolutely hated him he did a decent job. i will say i have never in my life disliked a coach more than him.... i can remember when we first hired him and thinking oh man this guy sounds good, he could be a guy who grows into the position and really exceeds. it took about 6 games worth of his one liner blame shifting bullshit to make me hate him. i actually bought a herm must go t shirt from this site that i wore to every game. i am usually not the type to hope failure by someone but when he went to kc i wished him nothing but hemorhoids. so while he is my most hated jets coach, really coach, really sports person ever i will say he was better than kotite.
i can also understand how you would stick up for someone with even more fervor when everyone is completely against him, it was ugly around here for quite some time with herm. people were sometimes looking for things to pick him apart about.
One thing people forget is NO ONE wanted the job. In the span of a year we had Parcells leave us twice, Belichick leave us, capers take his name out of the running, Groh leave us. No one wanted the job and not only did Herm take the job but he helped us get to the playoffs 3 of his first 4 years and won only our 2nd ever div title. He's not Parcells or even rex but he deserves some respect which he never gets from jet fans.
