Then let's go haunt the fuck out of Met Life and help the Jets win some games.

Again, Harbaugh would require total control over the operation of the franchise. If Woody were to go all in, the present staff, and a good part of the FO walks the plank. The upside is that New York, although a tough place to really excel, acknowledges accomplishment and if either a Harbaugh or a Payton were to come here, they would be given far more leeway. Parcells would be the example here..

or Daboll, who is the guy I wanted to hire at the time….he had proven he could groom a QB in Josh Allen,he was on the offensive side….THAT was the guy to go after if you’re drafting a young QB. Made all the sense in the world. Which of course is why we didn’t do it….because Jets

Parcells had already coached and succeeded in the New York market. He came back playing with house money. New York is not nearly as appealing as some want to believe.

Yea I’ll admit to totally being wrong on Daboll. I didn’t want him because his only real success was with Allen, but that was the hire and we blew it.

Part of what attracted Parcells was the huge contract Hess was willing to give him.

If the Jets offered Harbaugh a huge deal and full control he'd be here. He'd have to see the green and know that he had full control.

The thing about Harbaugh that is important to remember is that he doesn't play well with others if they're fighting him for control. He seems to do very well when there is no question about who is in control.

Well then the Jets are the last place he will go. Woody Johnson doesnt want to pay a huge contract to any coach and he doesnt want to give anyone full control either

The main competition is the clown in Indy.

Actually the main competition is the status quo as Harbaugh is making over $7 Mill annually in a good spot at his alma mater. Woody ain't gonna beat that. We need a new *dream*

Belichik makes 20M+ and Saleh is making 5M.

You better believe Woody would pony up for Harbaugh if he was available. It would be the easiest way to clear the fog at One Jets Drive.

Apparently, Harbaugh will definitely go back to the NFL if offered and the Broncos could pay him $20 mil on top of that. No way Woody or anyone else compete with that.

Top coaches get $20M a year now. Rookie coaches get $5-7M.

You get what you pay for.

Also I think the Jets would be a more attractive option than the Broncos at this point. If you go to Denver you are stuck with Russell Wilson. If you come to NY you have a much better chance of getting a QB you want to coach.

Oh trust me I would love Harbaugh as our coach. Hell he might do exactly with us what he did with San Fran back in 2011. We definitely have the right pieces to do it. I'm just saying. I saw that you mentioned Indy as I did as well yesterday being that he is familiar with that organization, and he's in their Ring Of Honor. Natural fit outside of a young QB, but we're in that same situation as well. It'll be interesting to see where he does eventually end up.

I wanted our HC and was glad he was here. I accepted last year and was delighted when we were 7-2 but concerned because I felt that, although the D was playing well, they were exposed by the Cinn game. Quick passing, role outs that expose our LBers. Also, was concerned with the OC/CS regarding QB development, PC, and overall improvement.. non of which happened IMHO, i.e., when you have special players they shine inspite of schemes and coaching.

However, as time went on I saw the same GP over and over, being outcoached consistently and then... the losing started. The problem with this HC is he didn't / doesn't have the capacity to fix the issues. Benching ZW was a no brainer and should have been done long before it happened. But where is the accountability when p[layers or coaches F-up and cost the team...I see none because the same players play, as do the CS coachs.

To say this season is a success is fools gold because unlike Detroit who is acending we are decending into the same poor execution, coaching as the last two regimes.

I seriously hope some of the rainbows and unicorn fans realize by watching this, why us older fans are so miserable, looking back at the record over the years, doesn't even tell the whole story, we know it's never going to be any better, they've never given us a reason to, the worst part of the Jets, is they play in the biggest media market in the world, I've come to the realization the Jets might be able to compete in the CFL, maybe

Saleh was thoroughly outcoached in last three games to the point where he had no clue how to counter the onslaught. Kind of makes you wonder if the organization raised ticket prices when the team was playing well to justify the increase, knowing they would eventually implode down the stretch and make the price increase more difficult to explain.

They don't even have a QB for next season, but they want you to lay down hard earned money on season tickets. This type of blind loyalty by the fan base is just one of several reasons why the Jets have little or no incentive to turn things around. Playing in the largest market with a much more successful co-tenant is another key reason why the brass has no problem in having the Jets remain second rate.

Watching Saleh trying to explain away this mess only leaves one thing certain: the team is spinning its wheels and have no clue what to do to gain traction. The Jets motto at this point should be there is always next season...to bitch...
