I'd love to see Brad Smith take a bigger role in the offense at WR.

Also, I'd really be interested to see if Joe McKnight can come into some games now and make a difference.

Other than that, we're fine. Cotchery is a great presence on the team, but hasn't gotten a lot of throws. If Braylon or Santonio were going out it would be a bigger deal.

Not too worried, Holmes and Edwards will get more targets, not a bad thing at all.

Just having Brad Smith out there more will be a plus, it'll just make the defense think even more.

Maybe we see Smith air one out this week.

especially if he pukes on his defender first.

Texans aren't great against the run, but they're horrific against the pass. Smith will most likely get some WR snaps, but I think we may go to some heavier 2 TE packages early and punch them in the head.

Also Greene actually had some decent catches last week and they tried LT on a deep route. Throw in Conner and T.Rich and I think we got more than enough options.

Do we see a few new Seminole wrinkles this week? Somewhere written on a napkin is a Schotty play where Smith throws a TD pass to himself...

If we had a division lead, I'd be all for activating McKnight to see if he can do anything....but with the Pats so hot and in a tie with us outside of the game we beat them I don't think we can afford giving McKnight touches and have him blow a game by putting the ball on the carpet.

Mckinght is going to be activated anyway. Just like he was last week , we have that roster spot open for him.

Would that be concidered OPI? Or as long as it's within 5yards, would he be OK?

I would love to see McKnight actually get on the field for a few plays. I can't see any reason not to give him a shot.

Involve Keller more. Problem solved. The Jets are not thin at WR or scoring threats i'd say.

Why not Clowney? Brad Smith is a better runner then a receiver.

I would bring back Coles for one reason, even if they don't throw to him the defense with THINK they Jets might throw to him and will have to concentrate on him more than a PS player or McKnight. Then you could switch between Coles and Smith to really confuse them.

Goood situation for Jets...Now Jets can just focus on Braylon, Holmes & Keller. We get to see who is most dynamic...Jets will have a great passing day....LT & S.Green catching passes out of the backfield...A real NFL attack....Barring weather ???

    1. He's on the Panthers.

    2. Bringing back Clowney to replace Cotchery should be about as effective as bringing back Dewayne Robertson to replace Kris Jenkins.

Id be pretty excited if we got Cumberland out there.

The thought of 2 TE formations on passing downs (moving forward when we only have 2 good wrs) with Keller/Cumberland really excites me.

Then again the odds of them using an UDFA rookie te who rarely even got in on the action in reason seems pretty unlikely to me.

Ugh, we have good receivers we font need to copy the Patsies.

Edwards is basically a TE, does that help? He's very tall, just needs some weight.

The problem was (back when we had 3 WRs + Woodhead) we didn't have enough guys to give WRs a breather. (Schotty's words).
Having Edwards, Holmes and B. Smith (who also plays ST) out there for every snap will "kill" them.

If we don't bring in/activate a WR I'm expecting B. Smith to jump some ST plays and to see at least one between McKnight and Cumberland active.
Wouldn't mind seeing McKnight return a kick or two...
