I would not also underestimate the impact of traveling to London, especially for a 22 year old rookie. I hate these fuckin London games and have always wanted the team to travel at the beginning of the week if they had to play them. Give them time to acclimate to the time difference. Not one for excuses. Wilson missed on a few easy throws, but I do think the travel played a role in that. Rookie QBs have historically been bad in London over the years.
The only three quality starting NFL quarterbacks I spy that have had more interceptions than touchdowns in their first year starting are Josh Allen, Stafford and Jared Goff. I would imagine most would agree that Goff is an OK player but not a FQB. The massive rookie struggles are becoming a bit more of a myth than anything in the modern day NFL. It's not impossible to become a good player after encountering such a bad rookie year, but it certainly seems to be difficult. We have a lot of season left before making that determination.
We collectively downplayed some of Darnold’s early warning signs. Let’s not let history repeat itself. Like the neighborhood watch, if you see something, say something.
Is it too late to bring back Mark Brunell.... I think he's coaching High School football in Jacksonville
He's the Lions QB coach. Along with all the other former players they hired that could collectively beat the Jets in a football game.
