It works in Madden, why not in real life? :grin: Agree that every is over reacting. For once we are staying pat on a decent amount of money and trying to safely upgrade the team. We aren't trying to make big splashes or just go after big names. There were no cheap OLB that would have helped. There were no cheap RT that would have helped. There were multiple cheap WR and S, and Tanny got one of each so far. There is still so many days to sign people. As fans we want to overreact and make changes because we had an off 8-8 season. The Giants and Packers just won Super Bowls going 9-7, one game better than us. The 8-8 Broncos went as far as the 15-1 Packers this year. You don't freak out at 8-8 when everything that could wrong went wrong. They were one or two bounces from making the playoffs again. Look at the teams that have won super bowls recently, or are always playoff contenders. Packers, Steelers, Pats, Giants, Eagles (until they went crazy in FA last year), Ravens, Chargers, etc all have had stability. The Giants didn't panic and fire Coughlin and cut Eli after choking 2-3 straight years. The Steelers didn't panic when their starting QB was suspended and then their backup QB went down. They went 3-1 with Charlie Batch! The Ravens are plugging along with Joe Flacco at QB! The Eagles were a successful playoff team with Reid and McNabb bringing them success year in and year out. I could go on, but all these teams have had stability and faith in their players. They look to improve, but they trust their guys and depth and don't overreact. For once we are showing patience in FA and it looks like we are making smarter moves so far. We already fired/hired a new offensive staff, Rex has already talked about changing, and Tanny has taken a slow approach to FA. On top of this, the Jets have numerous draft picks. Lets overreact in April if the Jets take a kicker with their first pick.
Why the Buffalo Bills were allowed to amass the leagues first or second best offensive line?? Anderson just signed with them as well.
