The way this is going the whole coaching staff including Hackett will be gone, and Rodgers will retire never taking another snap after seeing this shit show. Jets draft a QB with the first round pick and screw it up as usual.
whats sadder is that we will likely need to replace which ever one of the Qbs we draft the same as this one.
I don't agree with this being a 9 win team with Rodgers. Having a real QB in there changes everything. We aren't seeing the talent in guys like Hall and Wilson because our QB is awful. The thing that none of use really know is it Saleh and JD have been handed a free year by Woody Johnson because Aaron Rogers signed up for Saleh to be his head coach, not anyone else. If this is the case then sure let's tank this season away, get a great pick to fix up the offensive line and Rodgers comes back and we get rolling next year.
Agreed. A real QB (and a HOF one to boot) changes the plays at the line and analyzes pressure to understand how to move the chains. Romo pointed it out on the first drive of the game. We had center, guard, tackle to the right. They had four defenders. We ran halfback dive to the right instead of running to the tightend left. It was wild.
There are other good QB's coming out. I can see 4 or 5 going in first round. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agree. I think the entire team is completely demoralized before the game even starts knowing the jets go into the game with Zach Wilson at QB. Garrett Wilson was overjoyed last year when White got a start. Douglas and Saleh refuse to admit the jets made a HUGE error in selecting Wilson #2 overall, and keep losing games with Zach as a consequence.
As I write this the Cardinals are up on the "Superbowl contending" Cowboys 21-13 in the fourth, and they were supposed to be tanking. What does that say about our QB, coaching staff, and front office?
They don’t give a shit about their fans. They care about keeping their jobs and making money. The whole stadium should have got up and left at the half. That’s the only way anything will ever change. SAME OLD JETS!
The draft hasn't delivered a winning QB since Namath. I don't know what it is but the Jets are lifeless on all 3 levels.
I would say Ken O'Brien and a healthy Chad Pennington were good enough to win with. Aside from that, yeah pretty bleak. First 2 seasons of Mark Sanchez were a nice mirage though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Try again? To lose? And if they succeed you have created bigger losers. You haven't created a winning team, winning coaches or a winning culture. Right now, the Jets are two weeks late in bringing in a quarterback who could rescue the season for you and me and especially the rest of the team and the coach said again he has confidence in his quarterback. It's not time for change, it's past due.
Why are so many of you guys so sure Rodgers will be ready to play next year and will want to play for this team next year? Why are you so sure he''ll be anything but a shadow of his former self?
he wasnt even more than a shadow of his former self in the last season - after a major injury - 2 years older - no way - thats soj thinking
Not just Zach Wilson, the coaching staff and front office. A decent front office never would have let us come into this year with the worst offensive line in football. A decent coaching staff would have drafted a QB (who wasn't a proven disaster) this year that we could have plugged in to play when Rodgers went down. JD did make some good draft picks in his day, but his decision to draft yet another DL this year when we were so desperately in need at OL was a disaster that overrides any good picks he made. This isn't rocket science! Some of us were screaming this from the rooftops all winter! https://forums.theganggreen.com/thr...comes-available-sny.98571/page-2#post-4292026 A shadow of his former self is 100x better than the QB play we've gotten so far this year. We should draft a QB with the high draft pick we get and let Rodgers tutor him for a year. Even if Rodgers has lost it and plays like shit, he still knows how to play QB, and the knowledge he can impart to someone decent (not Zach Wilson) would be invaluable.
So you're sure Rodgers is coming back and will be happy to "mentor" the next schmuck in line? Every game like the one we just saw makes it less likely he ever steps foot in New Jersey again.
Are you kidding me? He gets to comeback and be the savior. This whole season will feed Rodgers ego even more.
