Theoretical Question For Baseball Fans

    And the perfect hitter would hit any pitch in the strike zone, regardless of the speed or movement.

    There's really no answer. :lol:

    Thanks guys this thread is going right where I hoped. Intellectual conversation about baseball in its purest form, without stats, by people wh know much more about than I do. I am learning a whole lot people, thanks, keep it going.

    Wouldn't the perfect hitter always hit a HR no matter what is thrown to him?

    Well, that wasn't a qualification. All that was said was that this hitter hits 1.000, so he gets at least to first every at-bat. That doesn't mean he doesn't go 200 for 200 with 200 singles.
