Made my picks for this week but I'm not confident, I think we're going to see a couple of surprise results. I think Buffalo could finally get their first win, their offence is picking up some momentum, I can see Houston beating Indy, and the Saints are hurting right now - in a packed Superdome I could see them turning Pittsburgh over, but I couldn't bring myself to pick any of them.
Woops. I made a thread with concern in the Crystal Ball thread. My apologies.. someone please merge. Is anyone else having trouble getting signed in to the football pool but not the message board?
We may have had the same issue...someone gave advice above. week 9 I almost picked the Lions. I still think the Jets lose this game but I have yet to pick against NYJ.
I'm still averaging like 8 a week, which just won't cut it. I'm finding this season to be terribly unpredictable, however those on the first page probably feel a lot different. I couldn't imagine doing a survivor pool this year, I'd probably would have gotten knocked out week 1.
I predicted a few upsets this week. A few of those I was wrong on though :/ I figured I'd stay around third but it's back to fifth... this week I'm feelin good though.
A bad week for me with only 7/13 right, and finally losing my perfect GOW record. Surprised to only drop two places to 7th.
This season is very tough. It has been by far my worst year ever and I've been making picks since the 1980s. I am now officially out of the running in this pool due to mediocrity in Weeks 1-6 and 8. I forgot to pick in both Weeks 7 and 9. I was mediocre in Week 7 and am 9-2 thus far in Week 9. For me there is no sense in worrying about having to make picks in this pool again. Good luck to everyone else.
I'm 6-5 this week so far, the NE result is a wash as I can't believe that anyone had the Browns to win but some of the others were bad calls. I still have no idea why I picked Seattle to win today.
I took the Patriots to win but not to cover the 4.5 spread. My only other loss SU was the Chiefs. To do good this week, you needed to have picked the Chargers and Eagles. Reminder to those who are still in the race here and still reading this thread---- the Thursday night package begins this Thursday.
I think my Browns pick and a few others this week may finally help me move up a little, not too much but a few spots maybe to the front page finally.
