Christian what are your thoughts? I'm severly disappointed in your absense lol. Miz's promo tonight was great. The ending was exciting until Bret Hart came out.
I don't always watch Raw live and I almost never watch Smackdown on friday. I hate seeing the stupid parts of Raw like when Santino Marella is making an ass out of himself being unfunny. I usually just read the results then watch the non stupid parts on youtube. I'll have to check out the Miz's promo, his are usually good.
I thought it was going to be Randy Orton but it would have been overkill. Cena's group has enough talent with just the first six guys. Also, the Miz's promo was awesome.
The best Ricky Steamboat moment was when he had the fued with Bad News Brown and they fought on Saturday Night's Main Event and Brown comes out to the ring with a big old sewer rat but Steamboat trumps him by coming out with a komodo dragon!!! He also made Alan Parson's Project entrance themes cool long before Michael Jordan did.

Jake of course trumped Steamboat with a ddt onto the floor, legitimately knocking him out. Heenan: Hey Steamboat that's using your head! HAHAHA! And that's why Bobby Heenan is the greatest ever.
Monsoon/Ventura = best wrestling commentating team ever. Monsoon/Heenan = a close second.....very close.
It pisses me off when the current WWE superstars just immediately call J.R. the greatest announcer of all-time like it's a slam dunk. There is no question J.R. was incredible. However to immediately dismiss Gorilla from the conversation is ridiculous. Nobody knew how to put over the entertaining aspect of the product while call moves like he did. Having said this, yeah J.R. probably is the best. But you can't just dismiss the three forces of the 80's in Gorilla, Ventura and Heenan. Ventura was so good it was unbelievable and Heenan...well c'mon. He's The Brain. Nobody gave the wrestling world better one liners. Just off the top of my head one of my favorites is Wrestlemania 8 Piper-Hart as they begin the match by staring each other down. "Two ugly people staring at each other, that's always fun."
The current team of announcers has to be the worst in WWE history. I'm so glad Bryan Danielson smacked the shit out of Michael Cole a few weeks back.
I miss the days when the Rock would remind Michael Cole he was a roody poo candy ass with the haircut of a 14 year old girl. He sucks. And whoever told King to not be a heel needs to get the shit kicked out of them.
My Top 5 greatest wrestling commentators: 1)Gorilla Monsoon 2)Jesse Ventura 3)Bobby Heenan 4)Tony Schiavone 5)Mike Tenay I have no respect for JR......he should stick to making BBQ sauce.
I thought Vince McMahon was pretty good as an announcer before he actually got involved in the storylines.
that doesn't say much..... it just goes to show you how much wrestling has declined in the last 10 years. the industry will never be as good as it was in the late 80's to the late 90's.
yeah...McMahon/Ventura were pretty good every Saturday on WWF Superstars and Saturday Night's Main Event......but Monsoon gets the nod.....because nobody drops a line like "this place has gone bananas"....better than Gorilla. EDIT: I really liked Schiavone/Tenay/Heenan/Zybsko on the WCW telecasts and PPVs in the mid to late 90's......excellent commentating. Heenan is a treasure.
I can't really disagree with that especially since they're attempting to make it kiddie friendly now. Vince banned blood, swearing, certain moves so whats next? It's really just turned into a fucking sissy fest. Not only that but the writers seem to have the intelligence of a retarded snail.
Lol. What's the beef with good ol JR, aside from the fact that he's overrated? You can't put Tony "tonight is the biggest night in our sport" Schiavone over J.R. Schiavone bumbling to call Hulk Hogan yellow when he first turned on WCW is hilarious. "I never thought I'd say that he was yellow. But he might be wearing red but he's wearing red AND YELLOW!" Yes Tony very good. Although his "Hulk Hogan you can go to hell. Straight to hell" is always good to make me chuckle. Even if you have beef with JR and his entire WWF/E stint, he was good for NWA/WCW. Him and Bob Caudle made a nice pair. Of course as nice of a guy as he seems to be, listening to David Crockett makes my ears bleed.
