+1 I hope they bring back Stone Cold for that episode too....I want to see Bret hit him with a crutch again.
Bret is going to be part of WWE until 2 weeks after Wrestlemania, at least, that's what his contract says. I can't imagine the money he is getting for this, too. Easily has to eclipse several million dollars.
too bad they couldn't resuscitate Owen Hart and Davey Boy for this episode......I'd probably watch a little more often than once a year.
OOO, didn't even think about the Hart Dynasty being around now. That'll be interesting to see what he does with them.
he better hit somebody with a crutch.....that's all i'm saying....I don't care if it's Lillian Garcia.
mention him?...for the cash that Vince is lining his pockets with....I wouldn't be surprised if Bret walks down the aisle with Owen's severed head swinging around his neck.
Bahahaha. I dunno dude they had some major beef about that.... I'd love a Montreal screw-job angle though.
i know there was a major beef...but that was when Bret still had a significant bank roll.....I don't think he's living as "large" as he use to be.
He gets paid something like $125k per appearance, and he does something close to 50-100 appearances per year, on top of charging for sigs and merch. A friend of mine works for the Moscone Center in SF as an event planner, she books shit like this all the time. *EDIT* Not to mention all the residuals he's getting for the library of work he has that WWE dips into for every DVD, every legends show, etc... I'm sure he is doing just fine. As funny as it sounds, the Montreal Screw Job was probly the most fiscally rewarding thing he's ever been a part of.
See, the Owen thing is what has me puzzled regarding him returning. The screw job is a professional thing, and eventually I can see letting it go (especially when money is involved.) The thing with Owen though. Brett was vocal about how he blamed Vince. It's a lot harder to just suck it up when you lose a sibling.
Owens wife has forgiven Vince. She said Owen wouldn't have done it, if Owen didn't think it was safe. Accidents happen. RIP Owen, but you can't blame Vince forever.
I read Bret's book. Him and Vince actually met when it first happened and had a really good conversation as he called it. The problem was he wanted his siblings to shut up about it until Owen's wife had her case decided against the WWE, but diana and ellie hart (wives of the anvil and british bulldog) continually said they harbor no blame towards Vince in the Canadian media. So Bret was more pissed at his own siblings for not shutting up until all the facts were clear and instead sucking mcmahons ass so their husbands could get rehired. This is awesome. I never thought I'd see Bret in a WWE ring again. It's long overdue and I'm glad he's finally put the bitterness aside because before his stroke he was possibly the most bitter person in the world.
Brett was one of my favorites as a kid. Too bad he is well past his sell by date for wrestling though.
Bret will be the GM of Raw till Wrestlemania, at which point they'll figure out if a long term deal is viable. I'd put money on TJ (I'm REALLY not a Hart) and Nattie and Harry coming to Raw. And you KNOW Montreal will be put into a story line. I have to believe they'll give Bret a push over Shawn to hopefully convince Bret to stay. I'm so excited it's retarded... That's not true. Bret will draw more then Hogan or Flair could, which is why he's being brought in. He still sells better doing his bookings then some "big" names do with large companies. I don't want to hear he's past his sell date. It's nonsense.
