I agree. I guess they're kind of starting it a little with Edge and his two buddies. The problem is I don't even know who they are so I can't remember their names...lol.
The tag team division fall off after the 2000-2001 era was also part of the downfall. Hardys, Edge & Christian, Dudleys, APA, Hollys, Kai En Tai, Too Cool etc. I mean, they have tag team's now, but they don't utilize them enough to begin with. The Highlanders, the 1950's gangster tag team on Smackdown, Cade/Murdoch, Kendrick/London, etc. Cryme Time is actually a team that can be entertaining and be good together in the ring. I am really hoping TNA gets bigger and big enough to compete with WWE. It will get McMahon's mind flowing with new ideas and strive to make the WWE the better show, just like he did against WCW.
Cryme Time was back in action this week. You make a couple very interesting points. Tag teams do lead to some grouping, but I think the bigger key is lack of competition. McMahon owns the 3 big names, so there's no reason to try really hard. I'd like to see some stables. That'd be cool. Or at least some more crossover between brands.
Sunday, July 20th, 2008, Nassau Coliseum, The Great American Bash. First WWE PPV there in 6 years. I might actually try to get to this one.
Oh come the F**k on. Stop this Cena garbage already. Let Triple H have the damned title already. Orton sucks. JBL sucks. Cena sucks. Triple H rules.
No, not really. But I'm sure he's going to get it because he has control over the locker room and is fucking the bosses daughter. I'd rather see JBL and Orton on Smackdown and bring over the Undertaker and Batista and get some new fucking matches already. ...or just end the brand extension completely.
At least Triple H can speak on camera. Orton is dismal. It's like watching a rock speak. JBL's time has come and gone. He's out of shape, and he ain't Flair. Cena's talented, but he just angers me every time I see him. (Admittedly it's partially due to his home state, but he still just irks me.) I'd love Taker on RAW. Batista isn't all that great. He's fun to watch wrestle, but his mic skills are a little lacking IMO. I'd take him though. Maybe they should just scrap Smackdown. Bring over guys like Mysterio and MVP (one of my favorites), and dump everyone else. Or send them to ECW. Does WWE really need 3 brands?
He deserves to get it because he's the best they have. Politics have nothing to do with it. It's the same thing with Michaels years ago. They said he was at the top because he played politics. Sure, he was great at that, but he was at the top because he was the best the company had. McMahon doesn't tolerate politics from guys who aren't the best or who can't make him money. Triple H is at a higher point right now all around than he's ever been, except for maybe late '99-'00. He's nearly perfected his match storytelling, his mic skills are strong, his gimmick is still fresh, and he's regained the smark fans that he lost about 5 years ago.
Unbelievable. I think Smackdown will be heading back to Thursday nights when they make the switch back to Channel 9. That will help the Smackdown ratings a lot.
ACK! Another brand? Why? Unless they want to make a suck brand, and send Cena, Orton, JBL, Cody Rhodes, Snitsky, and a bunch of other tools over so I don't have to suffer through them anymore. And can you imagine WWE Afghanistan?
The'll probably just have impersonators come out there, do their imitations, and then beat the crap out of each other
They had a pretty real-looking impressionist come on and do Bush a while back.... I could have sworn it was the real deal, until he flipped off the crowd....
I posted this in the election thread..... Maybe it's more appropriate here... Curious to see what they do with it tonight...
Wait a second... the candidates actually acknowledged this whole "debate" thing? Wow. I thought this would just be a giant waste of time like the Rosie/Trump thing.
