I think around 2007 / 08, the Jets will be competitive enough to be in the divisional race. Mangini just needs time to build, and take out the trash....

Depending of what the Jets do at QB, I'm going with 4-12.....

Yeah -- with the patriots and dolphins improving significantly, I don't see us finishing better than .500 and that's if everything goes well. I'm not sleeping on the buffalo bills either.

I don't understand how anybody can seriously discuss how the team will do next year when FA is not yet done, the draft hasn't begun, TC hasn't started, etc. There is no way to make this an effective discussion until we see the makeup of the team and get a glimpse of the type of Offense and Defense we will be running.....

Dude, I am not trying to target you, but there's no way this happens. I sat in the sunshine with my green goggles on all of last year sipping Kool-Aid, and even I don't believe we can achieve 6 wins next year.

We may beat Buff at home, maybe even the Pats at home, that's two. Houston, depending on the draft could be vastly improved, I'll give that a tie. Indy will blow us away. Chicago? We won't even score. Minny will depend on their QB, but I'm counting a loss there. Green Bay could go either way, they are in as bad shape as us. Another tie. Cleveland is already vastly improved. That's a loss. Detroit has a whole new offense with Kitna and McCown. Another loss. Oakland is always tough, our advantage is the location. I believe we play this one here, win #3 for us. Jacksonville and Tennesee? No way do we win either of those games.

So based on that, we could win anywhere from none to six wins, counting those I am looking at as ties. If we win 8 games I will be shocked to my core.

I'm optimisitc, but there's just no way. Quite honestly, we could go all year without a win next year. Our schedule is in no way easy. I'll be happy with wins against NE, Buff and Oak. Anything else is just frosting on the cake. Right now, we are in a fantastic position to draft Quinn.

i always look at teams that are very active in free agency adding key starters to their lineup - whether is be QB, CB, LB etc...it seems team adding more than 3 key players always have a letdown year -- teams adding one guy to fill a void or compliment a team always seem to excel - they Jets have a nice young core and should keep building on it
