I'm also a Devils fan , I can remember that epic series with the Rangers in 94 when we would chant "1940" and they would chant "19 never" well I guess Jaques and Marty must have just thrown them a bone in that series as they had to know the Devils would go on to be the most successful trip state area time next to the Yankees over the next 20 years. Funny thing is they got that one in 94 so they've upped their cup to 1 since Pearl Harbor and the Devils have 3 in the last 20 years.

Sad seeing Lamoriello go--that was a great and entertaining run by the Devils.

Some of the Scott Steven's hits were legendary.

The Stevens hit where he sent Lindros back to the Nordiques was my favorite

That was great and Lindros was never the same after it. But the hit on the little guy from the Red Wings was brutal. Forget who that was, gotta look for a clip.

Was it the one he and Claude Lemuix demolished Kozlov in the Stanley Cup series?

The one he KO'd Paul Kariya was pretty incredible but maybe the best is Ron Francis, he got up like 4 times and just fell back down all 4 times.

Yeah it was the Kozlov hit--I just remembered his helmet half off.

Found compilation--the Francis and Kariya ones were bad lol.

    Not that motivated!!

Seriously, I was a much bigger fan in my youth and back in the 90s and 2000s. Not because I'm a band wagoner or a fair weather fan, my rooting interest just kind of waned.

Understood...interesting phone calls from the Devs, 2 in 2 weeks to my wife asking if she wants tickets for upcoming season...my household is 5 Ranger fans, my oldest works for the Rangers, my sons are cracking up and the only answer we can come up with is my son used my wife's credit card to purchase Ranger-Devs tickets at the Prudential center...

I enjoy many posters on the site. Thanks for making TGG what it is. As long as you are not negative or putting down others for their views, I probably enjoy your posts.

Senator, I have been to Syracuse. I knew Syracuse. Syracuse was a friend of mine. Eugene is no Syracuse.

haha devils fans... we must have half the fans right here in this thread. the only team that could win as much as they did and still never sell out their building. sad shame that organization is.

a couple guys off the top of my head, br4dway sux, i liked miamipuck, jonny was always ok with me and 227 was the best poster this place ever saw. i hope the old guy didnt croak. if you go through some of the million posts in the new stadium thread he really posted some absolutely classic shit in that thread.

I like Eugene. We played Bandon Dunes last October and stayed in Eugene the night before we came back and had a great time. Pretty good restaurant with some really good Pinot Noir, I have nothing against Oregon and the great North West.

And as for football, we can recruit for shit.

Well at least u have a national championship in BB. I don't know why Oregon puts so much effort into its football. The gap in recruiting between us and the blue bloods is so that we will never win a title. We are in one of the worst recruiting areas in the Free World.
