Warren was a pretty good player for them last year... I'm not saying I don't think Raiderjoe is an idiot, but alot of you guys are letting the Raiders past dictate their future and remaining a bit ignorant of what they're doing...that is a very, very, very talented young team. Now...as a franchise they may not have themselves together, but I think they can make some noise next year. That secondary has the potential to be dominant...they have Ryan coordinating the D...they have a pass rusher...they have versatile and big D-linemen...Howard and Morrison are two of the best young LBers in the game...good running game...very talented young QB...Raiderjoe is ridiculous with his talk but this actually might be the year the Raiders start to make noise again.
Lol.. I tried my best to support him but I can't live a lie regarding his skill as a Qb any longer. It's time to move on.
The Raiders have a nice young team, but thats been the report for a couple of years now. I think with coaching stability they could actually achieve picking around 13th overall in the draft if Kiffin gets the time he needs to develop that team. Russell sitting for one year does help, but i don't believe in him when it comes to football smarts, let alone any sort of social intelligence. I still like Brady Quinn over him, and the Raiders were in contract talks with Quinn around this time of year. The running game will probably stay the same in term of ranking and production, but its Russell's 1st year as a starting QB. There will be plenty of mistakes all season. He is a #1 overall, so expectations are very high. The D was 3rd in 06. They can reach that spot again- with the easy schedule coming up and the low round draft picks they've had coming into form. Rob Ryan is a good DC, he just never had the personnel. Their season, to reach anywhere from 6-9 wins, will be on Kiffin and Davis. It is called a front office for a reason, its starts up front. Without the executive level on good terms, the team will be in disarray. The Raiders must win 5 in the 1st 8 for Kiffin to still have a job. Davis will be waiting for Kiffin to screw up for the excuse he needs to let him go. They have the personnel to pick at 12-15 in next years draft, but they will be back to the top 5 pick if the staff is ruptured once again.
I never thought of Raiderjeaux as a pessimist poster, but this? I hear ya, jeaux. It won't be forty more years. It'd be in the range of next hundred more years or two.
Davis is finally going to pay us back for beating them way back in 68 in that AFL PO game so he will allow B/cheat to leap frog us to stick it to us
First Jets will be coming to Oakland, to play the Raiders. I pray to god that Chad Pennington not the Jets QB. I never seen a more accurate passer, throwing those five yard darts. Leon Washington one of the toughest RBs to bring down. Chris baker the TD maker. That Guy from the hit show The Biggest loser- Kris Jenkins. You know AL Davis is going to have W Sapp a part of the festivities. Kris Jenkins is good for a meltdown anytime you mention Sapps name.
I don't know. Alot of this board think Chad has the veteran savy and all the intangibles to lead us to a victory over your beloved Raiders. They have faith that in a close game he can march us down the field against your All-Pro secondary. You mean to tell me that his intelligence, five yard checkdowns and our rebuilt line won't worry the Raiders when we meet you. According to our board all Chad does is win.
Your right I better wait until a Patriot, Charger or Colt fan hits the board. Lol.. The Raiders will find a way to lose!
Lets just agree to disagree... I'm positive that you have more holes than you are willing to see, and that your talent level is no where near where you think it is, and you'll say the same about our roster, which unlike you.. I'd agree has many holes. Do I think you'll be better than last year? That all depends on the Cript Keeper keeping his hands out of the cookie jar. You an I both know that won't happen, so the chaos that is the Raiders will continue to exist. For all your football "knowledge" this is all still babble... incoherent at best... So I'm going to gracefully bow out. Go ahead and claim victory on how you put another Jet fan in his place, but just know that I have no time to really delv into a totally disassembling your roster to prove to you how bad it really is. Hey jeaux, remember when you made some grand predictions last offseason and then you disappeared for 2 whole months of the regular season? You won't even remember this post by the time the Raiders tank in '08.
