The Jets couldn't Run or Throw the Ball last year and still finished with a better record than you did... how much better than the Jets do you really think you are? But with our additions on the offensive side of the ball, especially the O-line, we can't get worse and should have a well above average running game if we have a QB that can just complete some passes. Ou Defense hinges on a lot of ifs... If Jenkins can play well and moreover stay healthy at the nose. If we can find someone to actually play CB on the otherside of Revis. If we can generate something that resembles a pass rush. We should be able to make a little noise, and even surpize some of the fans. But you on the other hand make it sound like you are bound for the playoffs. Only thing that is bound to happen to the Raiders, is Al Davis is gonna make some move that bewilders everyone in football... even himself, then fire the coach... why... because he's Al Davis... and that's how he does things. (who now are picking two spots in front of them) On jamarcus Russell - Its obviously you don't know anything about the Raiders. Why didn't Russell beat out the other Qbs last year. Because he didn't sign until second week of the season. I don't care what QB your talking about, you miss all of training camp and preseason, and there is no way a rookie QB going to be able to play. Opening up For Javon Walker, Ronald Curry and TE Zach Miller to do there job. You see when you have a QB that can throw the ball down the field, you can use speed WRs to get behind a secondary. (I Know when you have become a custom to Pennington five Yard pass patterns, you forget the other part of a passing offense. Yes Raiders have best set of starting CBs. Hall and Asomugha. Lets just put it this way Revis would be riding the bench, if he was in Oakland. Here is what your missing. Deangelo hall a 24 two time probowler is now covering the number 2 WR. N Asomugha is on number 1 WR. Now you throw in one best cover safeties M huff. How do we know this. Easy look how he has controled the top tes in the game. Raiders with their depth have easily the best secondary in football. Now on your point ON Morrison and Howard. I would stop now as you clearly never seen a Raider game. Tell me Genius why both have more interceptions than any pair of LBs in football. Howard might be the premier cover LB in football. Raiders signed K Edwards. I(F you know anything about Raiders Dlinecoach Keith Milliard he as a very good tract record developing speed rushers.(SEe Betrand Berry- developed very late, R Hayward, D Burgess anD Chris Clemons- who got a big payday from Eagles) Raiders have Thomas Howard if they want to use him as situational pass rusher . Raiders will most likely be drafting a rusher this year. Gerard Warren is very good pass rusher from DT position. The only question Raiders must answer on defense is Can they stop the run. They do that and they are one best defenses in football. YES- Raiders defense is going to be that good this year. Like I said it didn't matter who was at RB, because they were going to run the football sucessfully. Your able to have a dominating defense and can run the football consistantly well as they can , than mostn likely you are going to be right there for a playoff position. That is without counting on anything else.
I have a question for you. What do Raider Fans think of facing Chad Pennington when you play the Jets? At the end of the day we were both 4-12 so we will have to see what plays out when your team comes to the Meadowlands later this year.
Yahoo news is reporting that the Raiders are looking more likely to take gholston...maybe the cowboys trade their 2 first rounders to either the jets, chiefs or pats...
