Russia threatens to leave American astronaut Mark Vande Hei behind in space at the International Space Station over sanctions:

    https://nypost.com/2022/03/11/ameri...randed-in-space-station-over-russia-tensions/

EDIT: I don't think it happens no matter what Putin tells them to do. I'm sure they've all bonded to the extent that they would never abandon him there regardless of the political tensions on Earth.

If the Cosmonauts are actually ordered to do so, they'll say no IMO, even at great personal risk. Besides, there isn't any country in the world that wouldn't give them asylum.

It could also just be posturing and a low life bluff. Stay tuned.

She’s a former prosecutor, but I’ll be shocked to learn if she’s ever actually tried a case. There’s just no way an experienced trial attorney can’t at least foul off curve balls when they come at her like that.

Guys. Please no personal attacks. As long as there is war, this thread will stay open but please keep discussions war related no Biden, GOP etc related.

Not cool either. The politics forum was like the wwe. A bunch of us let ourselves get fired up enough to commit fouls.

I made no comment on political parties. This particular reps transgressions are well documented (as they were before he got elected)

Sorry, I thought you were talking about posters going at eachother.
I didn’t know much about this guy, until he said what he said yesterday. And I’m not a fan of it.

Nope. As you read, the congressman has a reputation. So much so that 150 of his former classmates signed a petition or something.

The more you read about him the more dislikable he is. And as mentioned, he was elected anyway.

The old GOP saying was “better dead than red”.
The new GOP saying is “better to be a gullible schmuck than actually give a fuck”
    -now that’s a political post

Ok, I’m wasn’t defending him, was just pointing out that of the many terms he’s probably earned, I didn’t see where “nazi” was one of them.

At least you get it. Barf is just an idiot. He seems to be in a particularly nasty mood these days but it's understandable considering he's lower middle class living in some shit hole in Atlanta. With the rise in inflation his ramen noodle dinners just became too expensive for him.

I didn’t think you were defending him.

I believe Nazi has become a generalized term used by people to talk about (usually) rich, morally sketchy people who use use inflamed rhetoric to stir up trouble and keep certain classes of people down.

I agree, and I believe those people exist on both sides of the isle, despite using different snake oil. Both parties have had almost equal reign over the decades, and yet these class problems still exist

It's so easy to research stuff like this as opposed to making sweeping statements that are easily refuted.

I would happily continue this conversation by siting history and specific examples but that would be a political discussion which are no longer allowed (rightly so) on this board so let’s end this sidebar here.
