So the US is willing to resort to trying to play nice with Nicolas Maduro who has allegedly committed crimes against humanity, rather than try to improve their own energy output.

You can’t make this stuff up.

Improving our own output would be the equivalent to conceding to the other political party , and we can’t have that

What sacrifices? People are making hard decisions on how to keep the heat on, food or gas to get to work, meds or electric bill. Those aren’t sacrifices, these are the choices the poor have to make now . I’m sure they love hearing about these sacrifices

Also, millennials have much more college debt than the generations before them. They don't have the money to live a lavish lifestyle and they tend to scrimp in ways that the generations before them did not.

This won't be obvious to people in the top 15-20% of the wealth brackets but it is blindingly obvious to everybody else.

You could always move to Atlanta. Cost of living is way less there.

That it is. I love it here. The northeast and california were 10s sliding down to sixes, the southeast is a 7 moving to a 9. Life is good here.

I thought hard about when I was there for a week 22 years ago.

Even looked at some houses. Buckhead was lit that week.

The economic collapse of the USA is underway and people are applauding it......

Imagine being so obsessed with wanting Putin to lose that you would sacrifice your own economy?!?!

    Can't make it up

FYI if the US Economy enters a depression over this, then you lost

I’m not sure if this is true or not, but I heard on the news that the Russia delegates are considering changing their demands of a cease-fire from full on surrender of the Ukraine govt to just a promise they won’t join NATO.

I find myself wondering what cheery sentiments some of this forum's posters would be making during the darkest days of WWII.

Probably something along the lines of: the sacrifices by American citizens were avoidable and useless; there was no reason for American citizens to suffer because of European issues; Roosevelt was foolish for getting us involved in a European struggle; neutrality was in our best interest; we should have stuck to our own affairs; we should have only defended fortress American borders; we should have looked around and realized that resisting German aggression was futile, etc.

Those people existed then, but without the Internet, they were more limited than they are today.

High school dropouts are usually classified as useless idiots but i think putin may have found them useful. They got trump elected and are now pushing kremlin talking points
