What the invasion speech makes clear is that he doesn't just have the desire to annex the Ukraine, he sees the break up of the USSR IN TOTAL as a tragedy, so we can expect him to go on to the next piece of the pie if Ukraine and the rest of the world don't hurt him enough this time around.
