It will be interesting to see how it plays out as Petty gets closer to 100%, PUP guys return and the bottom of the roster continues to fluctuate early in the season. I don't believe we're sticking with 4 QB's all year. Hack's redshirt year doesn't really matter IMO - they can sign any schmuck off the street if a QB goes down.
Absolutely. I still don't understand why people thought we wouldn't? It is unfortunate, but hoping this will be the only season this happens.
i don't see a scenario where fitz is back as a back up. either he leads us to a play off and returns for more money or he doesn't and mac cuts bait.
Or maybe it'll be Petty or Hack as a backup and one being the starter. Then we wouldn't have to worry about the QB situation for years to come. We shall see what the future holds for Fitz after this season, the QBs absolutely learn a lot from him
I hope that he's not back. While it would make some sense since he knows the offense, his arm is just too weak. I'm hoping that Petty will be starting next year and Hack will be the backup (or vice versa). If not, I hope they can bring in a vet with a more live arm, so the offense won't have to be limited by Fitz' arm. In addition, I was never a fan of Fitz, but enjoyed him last season. He's funny, but pissed me off with the holdout. I hope this is his last season with the team.
As an aside, Garrett Greyson was released by the Saints. He was picked in the 3rd round before Petty and alot of folks thought would be a good prospect.
