By now we all know that the Jets offered their second round pick to move up and draft Tunsil. i think the Giants should have made the trade bc Apple was a stretch but I think I like the Jets draft better the way it turned out. I strongly believe there's a good chance Hack is still there in the 3rd so the question is: who would you rather have Tunsil or Lee and Jenkins? Edit: The (mobile) trade link if you hadn't heard. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nfl/eye-o...ants-nearly-pulled-off-a-draft-changing-trade
very hard to answer right now ,i really like Defensive prospects more so then offense so its hard to say i woudnt prefer the 2 linebackers, but if Tunsil is clean he will be a 12 year starter so its kind of even
Tunsil easily, and you're right the Giants crapped their pants on that trade would have been good on bothe sides and they would have ended up with a better player in William Jackson III
Interesting thought that the Patriots would draft a qb in the second round 2 out of the last 3 years. Is that just billacheks way of saying that he doesn't need high draft picks? I don't think Hack gave them a private workout either.... But hey interesting post.
This is the first I've heard about the Jets trying to trade with the Giants. I miss something?? I did hear about trying to trade up for Tunsil, but how do you know the trade partner, and compensation?
Brady suspended for 4 games. No QB on the roster except Garropolo. On the other hand, a QB who was learning your pro-style offense, from your former coach. How much of a workout would they really need?
There was also an article on NBC Sports yesterday. Do you not read the articles on the right hand side of the screen? There was a link to the article.
Typically I forget they're even there. I just go to the new posts. Also, usually when checking TGG, it's on tapatalk on my phone.
I would have loved to have added Tunsil, but I didn't think we could afford to trade up in this draft, so I'm glad the trade didn't work out. I'd rather have Lee, Hack and Jenkins.
Mac is awesome, he will look to trade and really take advantage in comparison to Tanny just giving out assets like candy
I'm so glad the Jets didn't do this. If he'd fallen to 20 it was their risk to take, however trading up for him would have doubled down on that risk and hurt roster depth (again.) I think it is 50/50 Tunsil winds up in the drug program at some point and has a big problem that effects his career. I think Miami was among the worst possible landing spots for him.
If we traded our second rounder to move up for Tunsil, Hackenburg might not be there in round three. We already know that Jenkins was because that is who we took. Even if Hackenburg is there in round three we could still take Jenkins if we like him better.
If we liked Jenkins better, we would have taken him in the second. By that wasn't an option, I mean that this is my poll and my options and I'll just take my poll and go home. How do you like that?
