This is so stupid, but we need to do what the Panthers did. Get some veteran Tight ends that can help the quarter back Or draft one...Keller as a lone tightend is weak, he dissapears
If Cumberland is healthy, he's probably a good fit, especially with a training camp under his belt. He looked good last preseason, despite the drops. He was an unfortunate victim of the lockout. Cumberland and Keller could be a good 1, 2 punch, bring in baker every once in a while, maybe draft one late round after Mulligan gets cut.
Ok, my mistake. I've heard that he's listed as taller than he actually is. 6'2" shouldn't be THAT much of a disadvantage should it?
Yeah, Keller was so bad, he was the #6 TE in receiving yards, #8 in Receptions, #4 in yards per reception. In other words in the top 1/4 of Tight ends despite having a QB who's accuracy leave a lot to be desired. There are a lot of problems on this team, TE isn't one of them.
Keller does not block so you should take that into consideration when comparing his numbers to other TE that contribute to both the passing game & running game.
