Anyone think Keller stepped out of bounds at the spot he did because of where the linesman holding the 1st down marker set himself up?

When Keller caught it the linesman moved himself a yard short of where the 1st down position, he seemed to anticipate Keller running out of bounds into him so he moved out the way.

To Keller's credit he made sure he ran past the linesman holding the 1st down marker, but the fucker moved it about a yard short of where the 1st down would be. Fucking jackass.

Anyway that's the only explanation I could come up with for the fuckery Keller displayed on that play, other than he's a fucking dumbass.

They looked like a fucking expansion team. If that is the gameplan for the season, they are clearing fucked. What they did so well towards the end of the season last year was they threw the football. That's why they got so far in the playoffs. Why sway from that? It doesn't make any fucking sense. Absolute embarrassment. Now they should shut the fuck up and play football.

Reiterating - Why wasn't Revis on Bolden? Shotty should be coaching HS football if he some school was dumb enough to offer him a job. Sanchez looked like he shit his pants out there. Embarrassing.

Cue the violins. With Jenkins out and Schotty running the wishbone it's all over boys.

He was a rookie matched up against Boldin on too many plays. Wilson was the least of our problems.

    Agreed.
Cro and Wilson killed us in that they contributed to the asinine amount of penalties committed. The penalties were the game-changers. We gave Baltimore so many 1st downs and extra opportunities that they weren't earning.

I blame 1a.Penalties, 1b.The dumbfuckery of the offense.

Not matching Wilson up with Boldin would have erased a lot of penalty yards.

Harbaugh out-coached the Jets CS for this game. I don't care how much the team likes the CS, you have to make the right decisions.

Yeah, Cro and Wilson gave up a lot of penalties which gave the Ravens undeserved first downs, but that's not what cost us the game. The offense cost us the game without question.

Revis should have been on Boldin all game. No excuses there. Wilson doesn't have the experience, Cro lacks the physicality.

Cro's inability to turn around is baffling. He's making rookie mistakes 4 years into his career during this game. It's fucking frustrating to say the least. And to think some people were bashing Revis' contract demands because it meant we couldn't sign this guy. He's got to shape up quickly.

Did we "Play Like a Jet" today?

My gosh I am still stunned at how inept the offense was, the penalties, and the 3rd down defense.

Way to open your new house.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong, but part of the issue is that we were committing a GINORMOUS amount of penalties for passing interference, and rather than continue to get punked playing man to man, Rex was running some zone defense in there.

We lost by one point with ZERO offense, and a great defense that did nothing but stomp its own cock all night long. We should have won that game. Stupid penalties, and an offense that was too busy trying to be cute with all the shifts and misdirection. Typical Schotty bullshit. Time to go back to smash mouth offensive football.

I definitely agree with this. The guy does not have good instincts. He'll get his share of INTs if QBs like Flacco float the ball right into his arms.
I couldn't believe how much Wilson was matched up on Boldin. Baffling actually.

Just got back from the game and I am pissed. Really pissed.

No offense whatsoever. No 1st down conversions. Penalties up the ass. Defense working its butt off and then gives up 3rd and 10s... 3rd and 11s... even 3rd and 26 at one point. Wilson was picked on so much in these situations I wanted to puke. Cro-Magnan Man draping himself all over the WR right oin front of the official. Hard Knocks my ass.... how fucking stupid was all that? A HC that talks SB and then gets bitch-sapped in his own, brand new house on Monday night. He needs to STFU. A QB surrounded with talent and completely impotent to move the chains.

And the stadium. The entire experience. Had to park in Lot 26... hell of a hike to and from the stadium. The men's room at half time was an absolute abortion... no routes in and out... people running into one another. There was so much complaining it was incredible. You should have heard the comments about the stadium on the stairs coming down from the 300 level. People were pissed. And the ride out was laden with blocked off areas.... I actually had to head north before I could head south.

If we do the same thing against the Pats on Sunday as we did tonight, we're going to get blown out. You won't put 9 points on the board against Belichick and come out on top. All this pre-season talk.... I knew it was all bullshit. We've got major problems and all the bravado bullshit is not going to fix them.

Woodie's overpriced stadium sucks. The field looks like a postage stamp. I missed my old seats worse than ever. I'd have gladly traded for the view from the last row in the Uppers there than the views from the mid-uppers tonight. Getting in and out used to be so easy. No more. Upper people have been screwed royally with this Orange Parking nonsense. It's a whole new younger crowd now... Manhatten train people arriving with nothing but a bottle of water and an eagerness to drop $8.75 for a beer. Rum and Coke at Captain Morgan's? How about $18.00?

I'm not impressed with any of it and I certainly wasn't impressed with the Jets tonight. Superbowl my ass.

Wow. You made me really look forward to my experience when I go for the Monday nighter against Minny.

You aren't the first person I've heard that thinks the place is shit. If it is, it's perfect for the Jets since they are the exact same thing.

I've read a bunch of comments blaming everyone under the sun, including Cromartie and Wilson for the penalties and Schotty for some pretty shoddy play calling.

How about the defensive schemes that sold out on the blitz all night long and left Wilson and Cromartie and Leonhard in single coverage all night but still left Flacco with all that time?

Seems like we didn't mix it up much on offense or defense. That's on the coaches...

    The curse of expectations

Historically, the Jets are not a team which has played well (or had good fortune with injuries) when there have been expectations placed on them. This year, their own bragging has blown those expectations up to huge proportions and they now have given every team they play a reason to hate and resent them, and motivation to beat them.

They are simply not that good, and never were.

Oh, but we're going to be in the Superbowl. Haven't you heard? The head coach told me so!

The bragging was done for a reason. It helped sell the PSLs. The PSLs are all sold now, and now you get to see the real deal on the field. Same old impotency.

Thank you. Cromartie maybe "athletic" the difference between him and Revis is Revis is in better position to catch a ball then the WR. Cro has his back to the play almost without exception. I guess he just loves chasing ass.
