Hey, jerkoffs, I know you have no affiliation with the New York Jets other than having to change all of your tramp stamps to:

    TEBOW

But hey, did you ever consider that maybe the reason all of you retards are so happy with the Tebow pick is the identical reason that all of the JET fans are happy with it? It's almost like an explosive vertical passing threat was the biggest need on the offense or something.

    Go watch WWF.

How the hell can this pick be for Tebow when he can't get the ball down the field to him? Plus anybody who thinks we got Hill just because he a good blocked needs to get there head checked fast. Just face it Tebow fags he won't be the Jets starting QB EVER.

Because you can't be a Tebow fan and a Jets fan? They are separate entities? What does the 5 years have to do with anything? I said it feels like Tebow fans are flooding the boards. Never mentioned 3/12 or March members or anything like that. Just said Tebow fans seem like they are flooding the to make a ridiculous point based on arguments that I could make up for Sanchez too. Maybe it feels like they are flooding the board, my original statement, because older posters are making what I think are ridiculous posts.

Maybe if I was one of the few people who yell at 3/12 people everyday you have a point, but I never have had called out 3/12ers if they have valid opinions. I have no problem discussing, I don't like ridiculous stuff like "Stephen Hill might mean Tebowtime in a cinema near you" because this pick clearly signals a favor in Tebow because he runs fast, is tall, and can block. Guess what Braylon did that too, and Brayon+Sanchez were a dynamic duo also. On the opposite side I don't like "fire the FO for one 3rd round pick either". People are very reactionary because its the internet, including myself but I am allowed to call out what I think are ridiculous assumptions and a stretch at best.
If anything, Tone is the one who we might see in cinemas soon. If Hill pans out, which I think he will, this opens up the field for him.

SERIOUSLY?!?! That is what you thought when they made that pick?!?!

I'm sure it has nothing to do with trying to replace the big downfield target that was Sanchez's big play guy when they went to the AFCC Twice.... then after he (Braylon) left, the big plays seemed to also....

Since Hill went to GT like Demaryius Thomas, it has to be for Tebow, right??!?! WTF :breakdance:

He actually throws the long ball much better than Sanchez ever has..nobody disputes that. It's his one big plus.

Here's an honest question. If the Jets were planning on starting Tebow at any point in 2012, why have they done absolutely nothing to protect his blindside? He's left-handed. Wayne Hunter would get him killed.

Everyone has an 'opinion' but few ever use the actual Stats/Facts to arrive at it.... :breakdance:
    =============

    First Seasons in the NFL:

    Passing - QB John Elway ---- 123 of 259, 47.5% for 1,663 yds, 6.4 ypa, 7 TD's, 14 Ints, PER 54.9

    Passing - QB Troy Aikman --- 155 of 293, 52.9% for 1,749 yds, 6.0 ypa, 9 TD's, 18 Ints, PER 55.7

    Passing - QB Mark Sanchez - 196 of 364, 53.8% for 2,444 yds, 6.7 ypa, 12 TD's, 20 Ints, PER 63.0

    Passing - QB Tim Tebow ----- 167 of 353, 47.3% for 2,383 yds, 6.8 ypa, 17 TD's, 9 Ints, PER 75.1
(split 'cold off the bench' seasons with 16 starts for a 4-14 team)

    ===========

This is where a weak inaccurate arm with an inability to read defenses will take you:

In the SEC against the toughest D-1 College defenses in the Nation:
    (6 consecutive BCS-NC's by 4 different teams)

SEC All Time Senior Class W/L Record at 48 - 7
SEC All Time PER Record at 170.8 PER with 88 TD's to 16 Ints.
    (SEC/Tenn ----- P.Manning 147.1 PER with 89 TD's to 33 Ints.)

First Ever Sophomore to win the Heisman Trophy, and also won the Academic Heisman.
(tell Luck and RGIII that what they did in college means nothing to the NFL) :rofl2:

And one of the dumbest insights added into a thread.

Also for the last time, I am one of the bigger Sanchez fans on here. I have been bashed by people on this board for "Sugarcoating" Sanchez and how I attacked Schotty for everything. The people labeling me as a "Tebow fan" are full of shit and have not seen my other posts.

Likewise people saying "OH Thomas and Hill went to the same school that's why your making the comparison". No.....if I said Hill was the next Megatron, than you have every right to say that. Hill and Calvin have nothing really in common besides being from Ga Tech. But I put that comparison up since both Hill and Thomas had similar attributes coming into the draft and are likewise familiar with the style of play Tebow offered up. Its a fair comparison.

The Edwards one I can see but my thing with Braylon is that he was considered a massive letdown being the 3rd overall pick and to add to his off the field problems. Edwards likewise coming out of Michigan produced far more than Hill did, hence why he was a top 3 pick(Well to go along with a pretty lackluster WR class heading into that year)

Maybe its because since the Tebow trade or what not, but I am just very unsure of the faith this FO has in Sanchez, which is a shame since I still feel Sanchez can get this ship righted.....I just wish the faith I had in the FO when it comes to Sanchez was as clear as the rest of you.

Hey man, I have been following Tebow since before his parents met. He has never actually had a blindside. His eyes are positioned in such a way that he has 360 degree vision.

That's a common misconception now that the book and movie have popularized the concept.

The reason the left tackle is so important is because of the evolution of the premier speed pass rusher from the left side -- Lawrence Taylor being the historical example that it dates to. Most teams (and players) tend to end up with the elite pass rusher on that side, because for most quarterbacks, it is the blind side. So the left side is a good side to develop on for a pass rusher.

However, defenses (for the most part) do not move their pass rusher from the left side to the right side just because a lefty quarterback is in. So the basic protection will be the same. The left tackle will still usually be matched up with the same player or players when a lefty is in.

Yes, the rush can come from the right side -- as it also can with a rightie at quarterback.

So it's not as much of a difference as casual fans would think.

They feel Tebow's maneuverability can negate Hunter and they are still on the Ducasse train so it seems(Or they seriously think Hunter can turn it around...which I sincerely doubt)

I do hold trust with Sparano and O-Lineman though and if he says Ducasse can figure it out with him unlike with Callahan than so be it. The O-Line is Sparano's specialty.

Book and movie? What the fuck? Casual fans? Quarterbacks have to set their feet and have their back to one side of the field. That side is commonly called the BLINDSIDE. With a left-handed QB, the field is reversed.

Your post may just be the most retarded thing I have ever read.

Good lord you don't need to explain what blind side means. The point is your best tackle still needs to be on the left side, because the best pass rushers stay there even when a leftie QB is in (plus TE is on right in more common strong side formation).

This thread is terrible. The Jets pick a WR (since they don't have a #2) and you assume this is about Tebow? Classic.
