    You are dumb. That's all.
The kid makes throws I have NEVER seen a rookie make. He also is 1 or 4 mistakes away from leading his team to a 11-12 win season and division title. If you are not aware of that then you haven't been an observant enough football fan. And I don;t care how old you are.

that's a question you need to ask Schotty.......Rex didn't step in till 3/4 of the way thru the season....

Sanchez has the moxie and the physical tools to be great....but it wasn't going to happen in his rookie season....that's just the nature of the beast....and this line of thinking has been beaten to death over the entire season.

He didn't have the starting experience coming out of college...like Stafford, M.Ryan or J.Flacco......the learning curve was much steeper. But the kid studies film, he wants to get better...watching him in the offseason was very encouraging. HE WILL GET BETTER, imo.

Have fun beating your head against the wall. This fan base is just fucking weird. Do they even know the history of Rookie QB's in the NFL? or do they just spout out nonsense 24/7 without any fucking idea what they are talking about?

Look, I am very happy with what Sanchez did today, but geeze people, he threw for 60 yards. That gets you all giggly? Seriously? Is that all he has to do to instill confidence in Jets fans?

The less Sanchez has to do with the game, the better off the Jets are. He is a liabilty. Please... don't get all giddy and giggley like 4th grade girls at the hop because he threw for 60 yards.

Sooner or later he is going to have to be an NFL QB. I hope that happens next week. If it doesn't, either the D and running game beats the Bengals, or we go home. 60 yards aint gonna get it done next week.

How about this? 180 yards, 1 TD, with no turnovers. Too much to ask? How about 140 yards, no TD's, no turnovers. Even that might be enough to win. 60 yards won't be.

And I want this win as bad as any I have ever wanted since I was kid listening to the Titans on the radio. I want a rematch with Indy so bad it makes my noise bleed.

But please.... don't go praising Sanchez for throwing for 60 yards. The team is carrying him now. Praise them. And pray Sanchez doesnt let them down.

Who said they were super duper excited about Sanchez's performance today? Thank you for your cooperation in advance...

yea hes learning. I can see next year stats more like 3000 yards and 18td to 12int. Not that impressive but if our D and run game stays this dominant its a sure recipe for success

Who is "giddy"? Pointing out he has improved is being giddy? So the team shouldn't have to carry a rookie QB? The Rookie QB should carry the team?

The game plan had no call for Sanchez to throw for 200 yards. The Jets had to punt once. Edwards could of and should have caught one of the 2 longer passes tonight. Really I have no idea why I am replying to this..........

Absolutely, the weird fans are the ones that doubt the future greatness of Sanchez based on his grit and moxie, not the ones that start threads praising a 60 yard performance where he was asked to do absolutely nothing as some sort of progress.

You have to ask yourself about thinking a rookie QB who threw for 60 yards is showing progress or promise. It's absurd. He stayed out of the way. If that is progress, we're fuckin doomed.

This is was a throw away season. If you see "greatness" or not it will be next season. Expecting him to be great and not fuck up in his rookie year is absolutely stupid unless it's Dan Marino, who Sanchez will never be mistaken for. By saying weird, I would have been more honest by saying fucking idiot.

On a side note, that Carson Palmer had a hell of a game.

Liability maybe this year. But even in the future when he can do bigger things. Why should he? We know our formula. Why change it?

I don't think anyone was expecting Sanchez to be great this season, except maybe a few doe eyed idiots after the 3-0 start. I just find it hard to argue progress or improvement on the part of Sanchez after he went from a guy that the CS trusted to throw the ball and run the offense at the beginning of the year to the color coded glorified hand-off machine throwing it 15 times a game, almost all within a couple yards of the LOS we saw the last 2 games.

Maybe he'll end up being a good QB. I certainly hope so with all the Jets have invested in him.

Because eventually we will come across a team that will stop the run, and put us in a position that we need to pass to succeed. Sanchez will have to win games for us against these teams...

Braylon dropped what amounted to a 50-60 yard pass (well, he mistimed the jump and the ball never really came into his possession), so that should bring his total yardage to 110-120... That's pretty damn close to what you were asking.

Fair enough.............. Sometimes it is hard to ascertain peoples thoughts here.

The Jets gave him way too much, way too soon and yes absolutely that has hampered his development. Flacco, for example, last year had a real real short leash. They gradually gave some wiggle room and he is getting better gradually. I Think Sanchez is similar, although Flacco has a much bigger arm.

To be honest, I do not think Sanchez is going to be lights out next year. I think he is going to have a difficult time. Not as difficult as this year but he will have problems. That being said, you will see the potential and he will have bigger games but only if Sanchez can be a franchise QB........... but that is just my opinion.

I really think the Jets screwed up by not having a Veteran that didn't suck balls. Kellen Clemens gave Sanchez no wiggle room at all. The Jets just had to throw him into the fire because Clemens is just so bad. I think that has probably set Sanchez back. At the very least he could not grow into the starting QB .....

Edit: Sanchez being bad is partly on the Jets Offensive staff and Tannenbaum for not having a better back-up plan. They should have known how bad Clemens is and should have had a better battle plan for Sanchez. How much blame is on them?..... well that is up to debate.

Sanchez played well tonight because the Jets ran the ball effectively and because Schotty is finally calling some high % pass plays that Sanchez is comfortable executing. As Sanchez stays within himself and plays smart and gets manageable situations, he is coming on. Hopefully he continues to avoid turnovers.

The stats on Sanchez are wild. IN the 7 games the Jets have lost - he has thrown 17 Ints. In the 9 games the Jets have won - he has only thrown 3 INTs. In the 7 games the Jets have lost he averaged like 28 Atts. In the 9 games the Jets have won he averaged 19 Atts.

He's just a rookie. He isn't ready to lead this team to a SB. BUT. If he keeps things simple and avoids turnovers the Jets can win against a team like the gals.
