Probably because the team was flat out rolling for the first 11 games that year, what was it, 10-1. Then that announcer said "they won't win another game this regular season", I forget the dude's name, just remember I could not stand him. But he was right. A great start to a disastrous finish.
yes if we had beaten denver we would have been sb champs, damn that fucking wind, the orange bowl, some great memories in that stadium w/our sb win, and the hurricanes, f the dolphfags
Yes that Browns playoff game was a heartbreaker....oh the upsss..the downnnns..the uppppss and the total let down!
No but they are trying. My guess is w/in 10 years of that new Stadium they will do what they should be doing now and that's relocating the franchise. It was McGuire but he had been picking against us every week.
unfortunately for this franchise there are many, many more ugly losses than ugly wins...... hence the 1 SB and 4 championship game appearances in team history. jil
You know the funny thing is, I drive through there on the 836 on a daily bases, and you could always see it sticking out like a sore thumb when passing the toll plaza. But for some reason or another I haven't even noticed that it wasn't even there anymore. Bumber:sad:
the browns loss was the hardest on me, i dont think i had enough knowledge at the time of the 82 loss as i was only 7 and the 98 loss didnt seem nearly as disheartening. nor did the loss to the steelers. i always have remembered the browns loss as the most heartbreaking to me.
It's sad to see the old stadiums go.... I was in Seattle when they blew up the Kingdome and was kind of cool to watch but in a way when you think aboout all the memories it's somewhat sad. All the TD's and one that wasn't, Jr Griff HR's and the Boz..... I grew up watching Mike Schmidt at the Vet and I actually shed a tear when they blew up the dump but the day they imploded Veterans Stadium a part of my childhood was blown up with it.
I agree it's sad to se old Stadiums go but nothing will be like when they tear down Yankee Stdium for me. Shea will be tough too but not as tough since the Jets haven't played there in 25 years but those 2 Stadiums are where I saw my first Yankee and Jet games w/ my Dad. What's funny is I took my Son to his first Jet game last year and his foirst Yankee game this and w/in a few years both of those Stadiums will be torn down though he won't remember since he was 2 and 3 when he went to those games.
losses... Hey, just look at the bright side..Other teams have had some bad losses over the years, just look at the.....SAINTS:rofl:
im a die hard mets fan, but i agree w/you on yankee stadium, i still cant believe there gonna tear down that legendary stadium
