Allen played at Wisconsin not Nebraska

I do think he will be good though. I was impressed with his speed on Saturday. I knew he was a massive RB but I didn't know he had that kind of juice

I'm getting pretty excited for the Hall-Allen duo. I think it has the potential to be one of the best 1-2 punches we've seen and transform this offense

He was quiet in camp earlier, but as of late has been coming on. He's still inconsistent, but has lots of talent and is very fast for his size. By the way, he's a DT, not an Edge, so he'd only be the next "Bryce Huff" in that he was a UDFA who made it big.

I’m getting “Bigger version of Richie Anderson” vibes from Allen. Anyone else?

No, not at all. I couldn't stand Richie Anderson. He didn't block, he just got in the way of defenders. He fumbled a lot and didn't run with much power. He was a pretty good receiver out of the backfield, however. Allen is a true power back. He runs over and through defenders. He's a great receiver out of the backfield, and he's already a good blocker. Please don't curse or defame Allen by comparing him with Richie Anderson.

Thanks for posting this. It's a good read and bodes well for the team this season and the future.

I disagree with Rosenblatt's statement that the Jets lack depth at DT. They have Solmon Thomas, who is very good and a solid contributor, Leki Fotu, who is excellent vs the run, and has made a play or two in the passing game in camp, Bruce Hector, who has been making plays, and Tanzel Smart. Davis would definitely be a upgrade over Hector and Smart, but they're no slouches, and he possibly could wind up being better than Kinlaw and Fotu, but that remains to be seen.

Don’t we also have Kinlaw? Not sure how he’s doing but I thought he was another DT?

Yes, I didn't mention Kinlaw because he will be starting next to Q. I was only talking about he Jets' depth at DT.

I can see Malachi Corley being utilized in much the same way Percy Harvin was when he was drafted in the 1st round by the Vikings in 2009. Harvin played for the Jets for a season or two under Rex if my memory serves me correctly? That's what I see as the most comparable player that Corley is to someone who has already played in the league. Your thoughts?

Just so you know, I didn't want to interrupt rant, but I understood the point you were making. That is, that Braelon Allen seemed "pro ready" based on how he was utilized in college. And I forgive you for being hippie spinach dingbat:)

Vibes wiped out. Maybe more like Keith Byars? Of course I recall the fumble in Denver, but road raging Romanowwski hit him like a missile. I should know, I was nearby on the sidelines when it happened.

Because competition is a good thing. It brings out the best in everyone. Having too much talent in one position is a great problem to have...

It says a lot. We won 7 games with no QB last year. So are we honestly thinking we will win less games with this squad?

That's not what I am saying and you know it. Zach Wilson was very clearly a player that should never have been drafted with the 2nd overall pick. Based on Wilson's inability to process information on the fly, he would more appropriately have been drafted in the 7th round. I'm not saying anything about the overall talent on the roster which is great, but Zach just isn't NFL talent.
