....& in addition, this team came into this season with lo expectations; from the press, sport-talkiing heads & fans most thought we would register a 3/4 win season - I being 1 of them. Strangely, my JETS have exceeded MOST expectations; considered nuthin' more than a "glorified expansion team" now riding the cusp of playoff contention. Even if the JETS lose the rest of the way, I am buoyed by the fact that they have a foundation in a decent D and a creative Off-mind such as MM. There IS a future (& add the fact we BEAT the Pats) I do see a sliver of hope!
As far as the Gayvens game is concerned, it can go either way; We gonna' kick @ss or vice-a versa. Who the Eff knows! Personally, I think we got this!
    Let's see what happens.......

Goddamnit...this is exactly how I feel. It's been mostly a shit show on the road. The only thing that's giving me some hope is the every other game streak. Keep it alive for one more week!

Lets see: we are 5 and 5 and the raw rookie QB has FOUR comeback wins to his credit. But I do agree with you that he has been losing confidence with the inability of our OL to protect him and a lack of familiarity with his receivers. Geno took a vicious beating last week and never flinched. Yet its inexcusable to me to throw some of those pics. They were on him and hence the loss of his confidence.

This week ED REED will have had more training time with his new teammates. Lets hope he can help stop the deep passes that have killed us recently. Plus it would be nice to see the defense get the ball back to our offense. We have not had much of that. Its time for our CBs to come to play as well. The Ravens can be beaten. Look at their record.

Do I have confidence on this team....yes.
Do I think they can beat the Ravens....yes
Am I happy with the record of 5-5....hell yes
Do I think they WILL beat the Ravens...well that is the$50,000 question and it depends on the very same points everyone here is making.

We are clearly not a come from behind team, not with a rookie QB that can get rattled easily when the D knows he has to throw the football.

We have to control the tempo of the game and not allow the quick TDs that put as behind quickly forcing a change of game plan.

To me that means two things. The D needs to get to Flacco and the secondary needs to step up their game by a bunch.
Offensively, Geno needs to open up the game early with short passes and screens on first down, protect the ball and let the running game take over.

Mistakes will kills us as always. Avoid them, and we will 6-5 tomorrow night.

The trend I noticed is this:
    1). Win coin toss
    2). Defer to 2nd half
3). Give up opening possession score
    4). Go 3 and out
    5). Give up another score

At this point, the entire offensive gameplan is a wash. You can't find a consistent run game (which the Jets need to win) when you're down 10 or 14 in the first quarter. You also can't expect to have a rookie quarterback put you on his back on the road. Rex needs to stop touting his defense and take the ball first.
