I thought it was hilarious that after the game Rex went on record saying that "yeah they want me back, but it's too late now! You can't have this anymore, I've moved on!" (something along those lines). What a crazy motherfucker. Must be high on corn syrup.

I had a friend who doesn't watch, or give a damn a football normally, bring it up how Rex sounded like a jackass with that comment.

Leave it to the friggin Jets to make Rex look like the best coach in the history of football.

That's the thing, they didn't make him look like a great coach. They just made him look like less of a buffoon than Bowles.

Especially since he still doesn't have a winning record, something he hasn't had in like 5 years, something that Bowles had the entire year with the Jets. And he was on his way before that win to have a very underachieving season with the Bills, you add another loss, one against the Jets on top of that and his year would have been a major bust. But they squeezed one out and suddenly he's the best coach off all time, at least in his opinion. It would be so exciting to kick him out of the playoffs and secure a WC spot with a win over the Bills when we meet them again.

He didn't really say that, did he? I find that hard to believe, even for him.

Whose team forced 4 turnovers on the other again? Rex is a defensive coach, so that makes him look good. Rex had some screw ups, but you can't fault him for that while ignoring the big things that won the game.

You're right though; Bowles being bad, doesn't make Rex good, and honestly after watching the Giants game last night, I feel both coaches are better than Coughlin when it comes to clock management. Why the Giants pass 2 of 3 downs from the 4 yard line with 2 minutes on the clock still baffles me. If they run the ball all 3 downs and don't make the end zone at worst, they kick the FG and leave the Patriots with near 1:20 less on the clock than they did. Considering there was 1:47 left on the clock when the Patriots got the ball back, it would have made a huge difference leaving Brady with just under 30 seconds. Not that Brady couldn't do it, it just would have been much harder. Run the effin ball, even Rex comprehends that one.

So fatso is 0-2 now vs the Pats when both times he had a big mouth before the game even started.

Pregame: "Let's go! Shoot, I'm ready now! They better be ready for us!"
Postgame: "Tough game, no question about it."

Lesson learned? Probably not. Let's hope. Otherwise it wouldn't be funny. That said, the Bills didn't look half bad. Way better prepared and better coached than whatever Bowles has fielded the last few weeks.

What fire? The Patriots swept Rex in 4 out of 5 years. He's a clown. I don't have any tape of Bowles cussing out guys in the locker room but I'm pretty sure that's what he did the past few weeks. He just doesn't do it in public.

Rex put a great defensive game plan together for his SB part 2. It's a shame he can't be bothered to put that kind of effort into game planning each week.

We keep hearing that but the players sure haven't picked up their effort level. So either Bowles really doesn't take them to task or we have a LOT of dog players on the team

what big mouth were you referring too?
he was fired up for the game and didn't say anything offensive.. don't understand what you were getting worked up over.

maybe Bowles does rally the team pre-game, i just haven't seen it.

“A couple of times, at halftime, he wasn’t happy with our defensive performance. And boom—he flips a table over,” Arians recalls. “People rush in to look. What happened? It’s just Todd.” That side has come out at times in New York, too. After the poor first-half performance against Washington, players said Bowles roared at halftime, “What type of team are we going to be?”

He coached under Parcells and Arians, he's a former DB known for his toughness and attitude, there's no way he acts the way he does in his pressers behind closed doors during team meetings. But what good is all that if you don't hold anybody accountable? You can yell all you want, if you continue to stick with bums like Cro, DD & company week after week and week after week they continue to underperform, week after week you keep telling them they have to improve, week after week they continue to ignore those warnings, what good is all the yelling if you don't step up and make a change at some point? It's useless. You don't bench somebody after a bad game, but half a season? Almost a full season? Man up and kick those guys out of the starting lineup.

i believe he chews them out when they deserve it, and i like that about Bowles.

would also like to see him rally them up before a game.
you can't take emotion out of it. what Rex was doing was just that, and i liked that about him.
don't understand how some people equate that to 'running the mouth'.
