You cant rebuild in New York. The fans dont allow it. Imagine if Mac came in and didnt do shit. No Revis, no Marshall , nothing. Fans would already be calling for his firing. But because he went out and bought a team , it made us a win now team. We're arent a team with a bright future. No QB , our best offensive player and defensive player arent exactly young, who knows whats gonna happen with Wilk, etc etc. Sounds like a win now team to me because 3 years from now it's not gonna be pretty IMO.
Rebuilding in the NFL is overrated.....Find a QB and everything can fall into place You can cut guys all the time that are old and not producing for the most part and clear up space....make a few good draft picks, sign a few smart FA's and you'll be fine Rebuilding is more for NBA and MLB....it has it's place in the NFL but no one knows how we'll look even 2 years down the line
Yeah I think Taylor could be a good QB if he actually learns the position. He has a great arm. I can see why Rex was drawn to their defense. Lots of young players and some good depth. Not sure he'll ever go as far with them as he did here but Id take their roster in a heartbeat over ours.
I like our current roster over theirs; 2-3 years from now I would probably want theirs but that's an eternity in the NFL.
But that is the hardest thing to do in all of sports. You have to get lucky. VERY lucky. And even if you get lucky things might not fall into place enough for a team to win a Superbowl.
I wouldn't want to be stuck with their QB. I have a feeling Rex will stick with him too long like he did with Sanchez , and that will eventually cause his downfall there. But I like their depth and youth. Tyrod doesnt look like a player that will win multiple playoff games though and thats the type of guy that is needed. He has good qualities. But I dont think Rex found a hidden gem. Would be funny if he did though considering all his bashers love to say he cant develop a QB.
Well then we'll just be what we always are.....a wildcard at best team with a very small chance to make a real run The turnover in the NFL these days is huge......rebuilding is overrated as hell
Well some teams have it a lot worse. Rather be Cleveland or Jacksonville that is constantly picking in the top 10 but never seems to get better? Its the way the NFL is these days. Even good veteran QB's can only take you so far (Rivers, Romo, Ryan) If you arent gonna be elite you have to get hot at the right time like Eli and Flacco did. Those are the only ways to with a Superbowl if you arent one of the top 5 QB's. Even future Hall of Famers like Peyton, Brees and Rodgers needed the right team around them to get their ring. The problem is the game is TOO focused around the QB and they're arent that many good QB's coming into the league anymore. Flat out nobody learns the position the right way. They want to beat a defense with their skill and not their intelligence.
Start getting breaks? They were handed the fucking win by the Bills punter and fucking BLEW it! Doesn't matter how Rex won, he won, not only won, but disrespected this team every day leading up to it and Bowles and the Jets let him. This team fucking sucks, and Bowles and Gailey are complete shit.
When Bowles wins four playoff games in two years with us......or one playoff game Ever.....we can talk. Right now let it go. You sound silly. Sent from my SM-G386T1 using Tapatalk
This is gonna be the first time in my life that I've ever rooted for the Patriots in a game. All hope of winning the division is gone, so a Bills loss is much more productive than a Pats loss. But much more than that, I want to see Rex get absolutely blasted off the field on national TV in primetime by the only team he cares about beating. I want him to cry. I don't want it to be close. I want all these Bills fans to disappear with their tails between their legs.
I am off today , thanks be to God , we all need some talk therapy after last nights shitstorm Have to say everyone here has been mostly spot on in describing the game... This CS has the least knowledge in the league on how to win in the 4th qtr After going back and forth in my mind we should have def gone for the 3 point field goal...instead of the behind the line of scrimmage pass to Marshall on 4th an 2??????????? SMH with what to expect going forward "Expect the best but prepare for the worst"
Is this satire? Rex out coached Bowles yesterday, plain and simple. They didn't even need those timeouts because our OC has no clue whether he's going for it on 4th due to poor communication with the head coach and shoddy decision making. What's up with the garbage backfield receiver screens with no blockers? Why rely on Kellen Davis for a huge 4th down? Not kicking the field goal TWICE leaving points on the board that would have won the game. How do you make fun of Rex after watching some of the worst coaching I've ever seen over the past 3-4 weeks with this team? The Jets clock management has been far worse than it was under Rex thus far in 2015 and they start EVERY game flat. We shouldn't have to play comeback every game. Don't even get me started on Brandon Marshall's drops. He's dropping like his name is Stephen Hill. How many games are we going to have to see a pass bounce off Marshall's hands and become a pick? For a franchise #1 WR, that is complete crap. I still say we trade him before his value falls off a cliff. Decker is far more reliable and he doesn't make idiotic plays that cost us games. This team isn't going anywhere. 9-7 at absolute best missing playoffs via tiebreakers. They can't protect the football and they can't score from the 6 yard line. I hate to say it but SAME OLD JETS. Nothing has changed. Someone needs to start a "Fire Bowles" thread because he makes Rex look like a genius.
The commute home last night was a bitch. Also, getting to the stadium was a bitch. New Jersey transit through Secaucus is a nightmare. Jets fans deserve better!
