The Jets need to get over this all in nonsense. I agree that it’s debatable whether they should or shouldn’t take a QB but there’s life beyond next year with Aaron Rodgers.
if they get a top 2 pick, sure take one. then everyone needs to go. If everyone stays, you really want this staff to take a QB?
I’m not sure what the right move is and like I said I get the debate. And I also agree that it’s not a great idea to let what seems like a lame duck staff make the selection but if there’s a guy they like how do you justify passing on them? I’m down if they go OT or WR.
he brought over 2 WRs to be our WR3 and WR5 from GB. those 2 were WR1 and WR2 last year for rodgers. We had CD and GW already at the time in our WR1 and WR2 spots.
This TMZ report says that he's expected to be medically cleared for the Washington game (12/24). Only way this still makes sense in 2 weeks is if we can beat Miami.
would make for a better Christmas present than whatever lame clothes someone in my family is probably going to give me....
Aaron Rodgers Expected To Be Medically Cleared By X-Mas Eve Game Vs. D.C. | Click to read more https://t.co/mnMIP85OH0 — TMZ (@TMZ) December 11, 2023
The TMZ article sounds like it was written by Rodgers! All it talks about is the speed of his recovery. Given Rodgers' narcissism, we know he wants to make the quickest recovery ever from a torn Achilles. The drama mill keeps churning. Who has to give him medical clearance before he can play: his surgeon, the team doctors, or both? What happens if the surgeon and team doctors disagree? The article is vague on who is expected to clear him for the Christmas Eve game. Even if he's cleared, do you think Douglas or Saleh has the balls to sit Rodgers as a way to protect him from himself?
Rodgers aint playing, Bob Saleh already declared Zach Wilson the starter the rest of the way. Every week this happens. The Jets play a game sunday, but Rodgers news makes noise off the field on Monday, he talks on Tuesday about it on the punter show. Rinse and repeat. We can do our part but not taking the bait. every.....single......week.....
ultimately it's the team doctors who make the call but players can get a 2nd opinion from an outside doctor. I'd assume rodgers is smart enough to get cleared by both his surgeon and the team doctors before getting back on the field.
Rodgers coming back to play in a few games this year is ultimately a critical piece in the best case scenario aspect playing out for 2024 that nobody is talking about. Yet. A multiple game sample of failure that can at least potentially help debunk and put serious question to this ridiculously shallow and naive assumption currently in place that we don't/won't need to put a more competent offensive mind in that coaching room might be the only real hope that 2024 team has to actually succeed. A 41yo in decline Rodgers coming off a full season missed will not completely negate and overcome league worst coaching. This is an absolutely atrocious bet for us to realistically make given what we saw play out as a whole this year.
dude has created more threads this week then most of us this entire year and it's all report and low effort trolling @Brook!
Do you have like, uh, a cork board up on the wall tracking this stuff with push pins and red strings and newspaper clippings? I'd think that was cool if you did.
