Too early for this. I'd say that if you said it after his second season. Gotta wait until at least year three I think.
I would definitely agree, but from what I seen and read abt Q is he has a motor and drive. That's what separates decent players from good players. He will put in the work and figure things out. Looking at body types doesnt really determine the type of player he will be, especially since he is so young (Same W/ Sam D). As pointed out before there are greats and busts in all shapes and sizes. It's the determination to learn and the desire to be great. I think Adam's has it and he makes it obvious, I think Sam has it, and I think Q has it. Hard to be sure, but from the college games, reports, and NFL games I'm confident these guys will be good.
Well, maybe not. But figure an offense runs 60 plays a game, with 30 being pass plays. If Aaron Donarld gets ONE sack a game, that'd be a 16 sack season. That also means he gets knocked on his ass 29 out of 30 times! It's the one play he didn't get knocked on his butt that pays him millions of dollars!
So far he's definitely on bust trajectory but I'll give him the rookie excuse. He needs to take a big step forward this year or else add him to the jets hall of shame d lineman fails.
Here is the thing. If my memory serves me. You're entire Tru "prediction" was during a time of obviousness with, True. He got paid. He wasn't living up to anything close to what that contract was supposed to mean for us and him as a player. The majority of is could already see the writing on the wall. It wasn't am impressive feat at that point to make that declaration. Ya know? This is a little bolder. With the Q call out. I think you could he right. Yet. You could be wrong too. Look forward to the result and hoping your wrong. More kicks that way, you understand though. I'm sure.
Q will get better. He played a lot as the nose and teams surprisingly double teamed him a lot. Not worried at all. It would behoove the Jets to get a pass rusher to bend off the edge so teams won’t be able to keep the interior guys close knit because they aren’t afraid of being beat around the edge by the jets lack of edge threats.
Ehhh idk about that. If you look at the responses to the Tru thread about 80 percent is eye rolling, calling it moronic, idiotic etc etc. I also have a thread “is Leonard Williams a bust” from years back that was met with similar reactions to this one My predictions aren’t anything special though, the only difference between me and some of these posters is that I have let go of the irrational hope that he will be a pass rusher and anywhere near worth his draft pick. Reaching the acceptance phase of the Leo model is a great thing! I hope you can reach it soon!
You are in stage 1 of the Leo model my good friend. He just needs help, he was doubled etc etc. How deep in stage 1 are you is what I’m wondering. If you don’t mind answering these questions. That will help me determine the severity of this case. As of today do you think QW was worth the 3rd overall pick ? As of today would you take QW or the Jaguars Josh Allen?
To ignore is to deny my friend. My predictions of jet disasters in the making have hit before. While you may be moving to the next thread you will still be staying in stage 1. Regardless I wish you well my brother
Stage 1 - "Denial" noun - can be substituted for "Hope" noun - it's all a matter of choice and perspective - mixed in with patience...peace.
Holding onto hope and being in denial are not the same thing. Denial means that one is avoiding reality and refusing to admit the truth. This may result in pretending things are going well when they really are not. While having hope may help ease overwhelming doubts and fears, hope is always realistic. The last sentence is the cold truth my brother. Hope is realistic . A hope that Quinnen will become a pass rusher is irrational and certainly not realistic I wish you well on your journey. If you ever come back to this thread you will have a friend in me.
Cannot disagree more with the original post. Q looked better last season than Leo Williams has ever looked for the Jets. All of the doubters will be eating crow. I understand the argument of not drafting an interior lineman that high, but open your eyes and you can clearly see he is far from a bust.
I despise Leo, he has tormented many jets fans. There is a reason we call it the Leo model. But his 7.0 sack season was definitely better and more impactful than what Quinnen did this year... I fear you may be stuck in stage 0, delusion. A couple of questions can confirm this if you have the time. It’s not meant as an insult. 1. Do you think Quinnen Williams is the best player from the 2019 draft ? 2. Which players if any would you take over Quinnen from the 2019 draft?
